Anyone interested in a support thread for not pigging out, continuing to exercise even though your busy, managing holiday stress, and what ever other support you may need this time of year? The fall/winter holidays seem to be the hardest time to keep up with weight loss, exercise, healthy eating, etc.. goals for so many reasons. I think a thread for support and to keep me accountable would be really helpful. Any one else?

 

I actually have set a crazy goal for myself to lose 4 pounds by New Years day. The holiday sweets are my downfall. I am hoping to remember to eat slowly so I can savor my food and be satisfied with less. Deprivation doesn't work so I will just have to be mindful of portions. There is already alot of stress in my life (which actually has caused me to lose a bit of weight recently) and the holidays and all of the related activites are only going to make it worse. I hope to manage my stress better by exercising more. I hope to start doing some 10k walks in early spring so my training will be for those and to tone my flabby arms.
