Preschool recommendations in the Triangle

I would love to put my daughter in a 1-2 day preschool program in Raleigh. She is non-vaxed (we are still deciding whether we are going to vax at all or continue to delay)...can anyone recommend a preschool that will accept non-vaxed (or children on a very delayed schedule)? Thanks!

Can't say enough good things about Emerson Waldorf School!  They're certainly very understanding about the vax thing, and have wonderful programs for kids that age.  There in North Chapel Hill, so that may not be the area that's convenient for you, but they're just off 40, so it's pretty easy to get there!

Thanks for the response, I would LOVE to enroll her there, but we can't afford it...wish we could!

My kids go to Greenwood Forest in Cary.  It's at a church, but not a church preschool (they say a blessing before snack and do talk about Jesus at Christmas, but that's it).  My boys are delayed vax (on different schedules), I think #2 had only had 1-2 shots when he started.  I haven't brought it up and neither have they.  I just send in the forms and they file them.  I was told it's a state requirement they have them on file, but don't get the impression they care one way or the other how your kids are vaxed.  I really like the school though - I know a lot of people that pay for private preschool have moved their kids there because it's a great program and costs so much less.

They have EXCELLENT financial aid, and really make an attempt to make it affordable!  (Trust me, there is no way our dd would be there if they didn't!)

Ditto!! DD started there in 1st grade this year and we get AWESOME financial aid. I still have to work full-time to afford it though, so I understand your concern OP. Ugh.

On the other hand, if you're interested in Waldorf, the Triangle Home Nursery Association has several member locations that might be easy for you to get to. They are MUCH more affordable. I can't recommend Morning Song enough, and it's not far from EWS.

My son goes to Heartwood Montessori in Cary...Hes not vaxed either and they don't care. They just "OK, Sign this" and that was it! its a pretty good school. He LOVES it, and the thing I like the most is it goes up to 9th grade! So, he will make friendships that will last a long time as well as be very comfortable in his surroundings!
