RCR, my thoughts are with you. I haven't been following, so I was curious how many cycles you have done so far?

I had an appointment this morning to do an ultrasound and bloodwork and everything looked okay. The follicles on my right ovary seem to be growing well. The physician's comment was that I am "loaded" on my right side. The left isn't doing as well. I believe there was only one measurable follicle on the left side. Anyway, he said it looks like the retrieval will either be during the week this week, or possibly next weekend if they slow me down. I did get a call from the nurse that they are lowering my Gonal F dose to 75 units, so I am guessing the retrieval will probably happen this weekend. That is.. if everything goes well.

My estradiol level is over 700 which they said is normal. Of course, google (save your sanity and don't google) makes me think that it is on the low side.

AFM: I'm OK feeling quiet full of engery now I've finally got rid of my cold.  I have started bleeding a little.  It's just a small amount but has been contiuous over the last two days.  The clinic said not to worry and increased my progesterone.  I also had really bad cramps last night. So no idea if it's impentation bleeding and a good thing or a prelude to AF.  Plan to POAS on tue so not long now.

Silver - glad you are still hanging in there. Sorry about the bleeding, but I hope it is just a pregnancy sign!

Saph - Glad to hear that things are going well for you. As for my history,  Hmmm, lets see. The dates are kinda fuzsy now. I did IVF about two years ago (maybe slightly less), got 9 eggs, 7 were mature, 2 fertilized, and 1 made it to day 5. We transferred that one and got a BFN. The RE thought that since my eggs seem to be poor quality, maybe they would do better inside me than in the lab, so she suggested IUIs. We did 5 injectible IUIS(using the same meds as with IVF) , all BFNs. Then we decided to give IVF another try, and I have had 4 IVF cycles canceled in a row for one reason or another, so I have been trying to do this second IVF cycle since October. I am considering this IVF cycle (if it ever happens) as my last try before moving on to donor eggs. We do have insurance coverage, so we are lucky about that (not that it has helped me get pregnant so far).

I have been looking online for what rising progesterone before Oing actually does, and not much is out there. I did read a few times that maybe it means problems with implantation. ugh.

Rcr: the bleeding seems to be getting more and beyond spotting so I'm feeling more despondant.  I plan to POAS tommrow.  Do you think 12 days past 2 day trasfer will be accurate? it's 3 days before OTD and not sure how sensitive the test it.

rcr - Grrrr... I'm frustrated for you!!!! I'm crossing my fingers for your iui though.  I think you should post your question on the sher website and ask him about it.  Worth a shot.

Silver - fingers crossed that it is only implantation bleeding.  What CD are you on right now and when do you normally start AF?

Saphrons - sounds like things are going well w/ your cycle.  Yay!!!  Keep us posted!!

Gelly - Welcome back!!!!  Sorry you had to come back but we are all here for you on this journey!!!  Hope it is short and sweet!!!  I'm trying to remember how many cycles you did before and is this your first FET?  What is this practice doing that is different than your last, anything????  Good luck and keep us posted.

POAS is negative.  12 days after 2 day transfer so when I would normal get af.  will do personals when i feel up 2 it.  silverbird

Blue - that is a great idea. I am going to post this afternoon. If I am not pregnant by this summer, I am planning to go there anyway. I have some money saved up for summer, since I don't work in the summer, so I can just use it for trips to Vegas. What is going on with you?

Silver - I am sorry for the BFN It is still early. At least you know that the HCG is out of your system. Are you planning to test tomorrow.

AFM - I am kindof anxious about getting an appointment with my RE soon. I hope there is an opening, it is not always easy to get a video appointment at the last minute. I want to meet with her to discuss a new plan in the next week and a half, because if I don't do it soon, and AF starts, I will have to miss another month. Plus, I need to order meds because last time it took 3 weeks to get insurance settled because they needed special permission and I had to wait for insurance to approve it. I left a message with scheduling this morning, so hopefully they call back and say that I can meet with them early next week. IUI is tomorrow morning.

The doctor rang and said bleeding plus BNF ment a negative and to come off all the drugs. :'(

Guess I'm waiting till May now.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!  Here's to a H&H 9 months!!  Have you gotten the numbers from today yet?  I'm so excited for you!!

That sounds awesome!!  How many days of stims have you been on?  I know most RE's want to take when you're between 2000 and 3000, so the 700 should be right in line, especially if ER is this weekend or early next week!!

I'm so sorry silver!!!  That sucks so bad, you deserve your BFP.

AFM - HSG is tomorrow early afternoon.  Since I've never had one of these before, anyone's thoughts on going back to work afterwards???

Hope4 - I went to work after my HSG. I had a little cramping during it, but it was over fast and I was fine to go to work.

AFM - I got an appointment with my RE for next Wed. Pretty fast. I hope I don't have to take an off-cycle after this. I am sick of waiting.

Hope, I started the gonadotropins on the 26th. Can anyone give me the lowdown on what I can expect in the next couple weeks? I'm sure I'll get more information tomorrow after my ultrasound/bw, but I'd love any information that anyone can give me. Bonus points for a sample calendar of what your cycle looked like (day by day) after the stims if you have been through this already.

rcr- that's great that you got an appointment so fast!  i am hoping you don't have to take off any more time and can just jump right into another cycle.  .  

silver, so sorry to hear that af is on its way.  it's always so disappointing, but at least you know you have a guaranteed cycle lined up for may.  i am sending you hugs.  it's definitely time to pamper yourself.  sadness combined with pms is a terrible combo.

saphrons, not sure precisely what you're looking for, but my cycles have always been as follows:  stims with us/bw until they tell me to trigger.  take trigger at specified time, and then 36 hours later report to RE for retrieval.  after retrieval start estrogen and progesterone, and wait for day 3 report.  at day 3 i have always had an urgent early morning call telling me to come in for transfer.  many women are lucky enough to get to wait for five days.  not me.  show up at clinic, meet with embryologist for about three minutes.  get photo of embryos they plan on transferring.  have embryos transferred (always three, because the quality is not great and they were trying to give me the best chance.  i always assumed we'd do 2 max, but here i am still trying, so....).  then basically continue on estrogen and progesterone during two week wait.  the first time i made it to my beta but it was bfn, then got period.  second time, i managed to get my period early despite being on progesterone.   hopefully you will have big beautiful embryos and a bfp!!

gelly, welcome back!  i believe you were here when i first started reading the boards, sorry to see you are back but hopefully your stay is short.

afm, went for bw today since i'm one week past iui and they didn't call, so my progesterone level must be fine.  slight cramping, like usual, nothing big.  i'm worried my period is going to find a way to come even EARLIER this month.  last month it came 10dpiui, so i guess i have nothing to do but wait and see.  i feel fine though, not especially pmsy yet.

Silver:  I am so sorry about your BFN.  Keep faith.  You have another cycle that the insurance will cover.  You still have time and a chance.  I am praying for you.

Hope:  Good luck with your HSG.  I had no problems with mine at all.  A little cramping during the procedure, but nothing after at all.  I went to work and had no problems at all.  I did not take any medication for pain either.  I hope that you have the same experience.

Blue:  How did your niece's talent show go?  I bet it was just adorable.  How old is she?  Thinking of you.

Aura:  How are things going for you?

RCR:  I am sorry about your cancelled cycle.  I totally feel your pain (see my AFM).  Is your IUI tomorrow?  When did you trigger?  Does your RE do 2 inseminations?  Don't worry about another IVF.  This IUI is going to work for you, so you will not need it!  Hang in there, girl!   

AFM:  I am right there with RCR.  My IVF also has been cancelled and converted to IUI.  I was not really responding to the meds at all.  Last Friday I had 3 < 10 on the right side and 2 < 10 on the left, one 12/13 and another 12/12.  On a good note, my lining was 8. something.  RE said to think about it over the weekend, but we could either go for IVF and "hope for the best" but statistics showed a <15% chance of success, convert to IUI, and to start considering donor eggs.  I was devaststed.  I continued meds over the weekend and went back this AM.  The bad news is, my lining is still 8.2, I have 3 <10 on the right side and  2 <10 on the left.  The good news is I have another 16/15 and one that is 19/19.  We decided to cancel the IVF and convert to IUI.  I triggered at the office and I go for insemination tomorrow and either Wednesday or Thursday (depending on if I have ovulated and the blood work).  I am hopeful, but prepared to start all over again.  The cost of meds is killing me.  I have no insurance help any more, so things are getting tight.  Unfortunately, my DH has to take DS to speech therapy tomorrow (for his food aversion...he has been eating very poorly so we do not dare postpone), so he will drop off his contribution and go with DS.  This is the first IUI that I will not have him there for support and to keep me company.  It stinks, but I can not sacrifice the child I have to get another one.  I pray that God will hold my hand and give me comfort.  I know you are all on my side, but if you could throw in an extra prayer, crossed fingers, baby dust...ect...  I would surely appreciate it!

Praying - Our niece that we saw in the show is 8yrs old and she was in a signing act of Annie.  It was cute b/c there was 4 of them and they dressed up like orphans and sang the song and danced.  Very cute.  The best part was afterwards we gave her hugs and then asked her if she wanted to go with us to get ice cream and her little face just lit up and her eyes got really big like she was really excited about it and couldn't believe her ears.  We let her pick where she wanted to go and all got ice cream and then took her home afterwards.  It was really fun.  We have 5 nieces and 1 nephew so it is hard to just spend time with them one on one.  Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for your iui!!!  You can do this and know you are not alone!!!!  Hope all goes well with your DS as well!!   Thinking of you!

Aura - fingers crossed for you that AF stays away!!!!!  Glad that your proges. was good!!!!  Keep us posted!!!

Saphrons - A schedule is kinda hard b/c there are so many different protocols and who knows which one your RE is going to use w/ you.  I don't even think someone elses protocol would help you bc it could be totally different than what you will be doing.  You should ask your nurse for a calendar for your exact protocol.  With my fresh cycles i would basically go for u/s & bw every 2-3 days and then they would adjust my dose as per those measurements.  W/ my RE they wanted the follies to be around 19 ish or a little bigger and that is when they would have me trigger which is the butt shot and then about 36hrs later you go in for your ET.  They wanted me to take a valium the night before and the day of the transfer as well.  Oh and they would also have me take an antibiotic and a form of prednisone for like 4 days before as well. I started the progesterone after the ER as well.   At the ET they would give me an IV w/ versed which kinda makes you just out of it so you hopefully don't know what is going on and then you kinda wake up afterwards and have some cramping, but can take tylenol and I would just go home and sleep for like 4-6 hrs and then the next day they would call and give us an update of the fertilization report and when the transfer will be.  That is kinda the scoop for me in a nut shell.  Yell if you have any other questions.  Fingers crossed for you and keep us updated.

Vegan - my u/s went well this morning and my lining is up to 9.1 which is really good i think since our ET is on Friday.  My guess is that hopefully if it keeps going the same way it has the last couple of days I might be at 11 by Friday.  Fingers crossed.  What is next for you??

Hope - I think i went back to work after my hsg, but mine wasn't bad at all.

rcr - good luck tomorrow w/ your iui!!  Fingers crossed for you!!  My u/s today went well and my lining is up from 7.5 last Friday to 9.1 today which is really good i think since our ET is this coming Friday.  My guess is that hopefully if it keeps going the same way it has the last couple of days I might be at 11 by Friday.  Fingers crossed.

Praying - I am so sorry. Obviously I know how you feel. you are definetely not alone. I do all my IUIs alone, it is fine. DH always has to rush off to work, so he goes in before me and we cross on the expressway. Hopefully this is just all we need, and we won't have to go on to another IVF try. Did your RE say anything about changing protocols for a new cycle? I am excited to hear what mine says.

Silver, I am so sorry this cycle was a BFN  It's just so unfair.  I am sure waiting to try again in May is not the best news, but I am glad you have the opportunity to have a free cycle sooner than you originally expected.  Sending you lots of hugs.

Praying, I'll be saying a prayer for you and your IUI.  I am sorry your IVF got cancelled, did your RE sound like he/she wanted to try another protocol or would you consider donor eggs.  Hopefully it doesn't come to either and this IUI does the trick.

Hope, you should be able to go back to work afterwards.  Just a little cramping afterwards (I had some sharp pains during), but totally manageable.

Saphrons, my fresh cycle was quite a long time ago so I don't have any exact memories of the days ect, but it sounds like the other ladies have some info for you.  Hopefully you'll get your calenar soon...that was one of my favorite parts so I could start planning more :)

rcr - that's great that they are getting you in next week.  I hope that it's not another waiting game, and that you can get everything going this cycle.
 

saphrons - like others said, I think it's all so different depending on your RE, how your cycle is going, what protocal you're on, etc.  My fresh cycle was back in 2008, so I'm not sure how much I remember.  I did BCP's for 14 days, then the Lupron for a week, then the Lupron and Stims for about 10 days.  Then I triggered, 36 hours later had ER, and 3 days later ET.  I will get my calendar today for the start of this cycle. 

aura - I'm going with no news is good news.  Keeping my fingers crossed that she doesn't show up!!!

praying -  I'm sorry that your cycle was cancelled too!!  Too much crap going on here the last few days!!  Hopefully the IUI will work and it was just meant to save you some money   Good luck, I know that going by yourself is difficult.  I'll be commiserating with you this cycle as I know that DH won't make it to every appointment, because our clinic is so far from home and because of DD.  At least you know you're doing the right thing and making sure that DS is taken care of. Prayers are coming your way!
