DS is 15 months & has been in daycare since 8 weeks. He started a new in home last June when we moved. He has attended 3 temporary daycare since then whenever she was on vacation or had a day off. I only remember him crying once or twice at drop off to the new temp places. Last Wednesday we started a new place because my new job has later hours. The new place is kind of Montessori school, not in home daycare. He cries hard at every drop off. I'm concerned because it is not normal for him.
They say he calms down after a few minutes. I was out of sight for 5 minutes today & he was still crying when I left. I didn't get to say goodbye cuz I didn't want to go back in.
today was my first drop off, DP has been doing it, &I was stressed, worried about getting to work in time to pump, etc. I feel terrible.
How long would you give the adjustment? I don't want to overreact, maybe the change coincided with some developmental thing? Nor do I want to keep him somewhere he is unhappy. He is definitely more clingy but we are also doing a partial night weaning (midnight to 530).
