Please help me with my test! This has never happened to me.

Okay so this test is a dollar tree test, I have CBD but waiting to take it until I see a positive on a cheap test. I will not be heart broken if you all say it is a negative or defected because I am also know to implant pretty late. Like a few days after my AF is supposed to start. I took the test and looked at it 3 minutes later and this is what I got. The dark line is what I would assume to be the control line, but the pink line is touching and it is above the control line instead of under itdizzy.gif I am just wondering if anyone else EVER had this happen and was they pregnant? Plus I figured I would post it just in case no one has seen this before and someone is searching for the same reason. The actual test the test line should be on the right, looking at the screen. The control line on the left, looking at the screen. But this one is all screwed up. The thing that gets me is the lines aren't thinner than they are supposed to be or anything. I wonder if this could have been a glitch in the machine that makes them and the test line got moved. I have worked in factories so I know stupid stuff can happen like that. lol.gif

So you're saying that this line is where the results like should be and that the "control" line is missing?

Well, I have gotten a defective test before: no lines! But if "two lines means pregnant" and you have one line in the wrong place, my guess is not pregnant, but you can't rule out a defective test. Maybe get another cheapie and test in a day or two. smile.gif Good luck!!

It is all located in the control line. But the lighter pink is on the opposite side than it should be. I am expecting my period today or tomorrow. I tested the day after I missed my period with my daughter and it was negative. I was clearly pregnant. Like I said I think I implant late so I know there is still a huge chance I am pregnant. Just thought I would post the pic just in case I am or somebody had the same thing whether they was pregnant or not. I haven't seen on do this. lol

Any time a test is questionable I consider it a BFN.  This test is clearly questionable- very strange, but appears to me to more a bleed from the control line than the test and control line smashed together.  Like I said in your other thread, I would splurge on a FRER and use FMU tomorrow.

Implantation timing, as far as I know, doesn't have to do with genetics so I'm not sure that late implantation is something that a woman is prone to.  The embryo will implant some time between 6 and 12 DPO and 84% of the time between 8 and 10 DPO.  While there have been some documented cases of implantation occurring as late as 13 and 14 DPO, these were all with reproductive technology like IVF.   What is more likely is that your body may not metabolize hCG as quickly as other women so it takes a bit longer for your urine hCG levels to build up, but it could be entirely possible that your blood levels are already above the sensitivity of an HPT.  Also some embryos produce lower levels of hCG or have a slightly slower doubling time (like 72 hours instead of 24-48 hours), which can affect when you get HPT+'s.

Keep us posted!

I know my HCG levels are low with both my pregnancies they was worried and kept checking it because it stayed low and then overnight tripled. lol. But with my daughter I implanted, or at least had the implantation bleeding after my period was do. I figured it would be a bad test, I just never seen anything like it. I have seen blurred tests and it wasn't a straight line. This one was completely weird so thought I would post it for others to view just in case they have something like that. I have taken different tests. I just wish I knew how far I was when I tested + with my daughter. I knew I took the test the day after my af and it was - so I chalked it up to I wasn't pregnant. A few weeks to 3 weeks later started feeling horrible and was going to go to the doctor because my af never came and I didn't feel good. I have had endometriosis and cervical cancer so I had surgery then laser for my cervix. They did a DNC and flushed my tubes and uterus out. Had lots of protein and mucus and he wasn't sure why. I got on the Marina IUD in June and this month finally trying harder to conceive. I want a summer baby cuz both my babies had jaundice. I also had a inflamed overy that was 5 times the size it should have been so they poked it with a needle, litterly, and it deflated like a balloon. lol. A few cysts removed too.

Anyway, i am usually not this crazy about test taking. I just had 3 horrible nightmares in the last week and a half and trying to find an answer to them. To vivid for me not to be pregnant. lol. I have taken another test... don't remember which brand but it was also a faint positive. So just waiting to see now. If it don't work this cycle I am going on Clomid. Doctor said I may not be ovulating because of the Marina. So we will see. Oh to the point I was meaning to make.....

I was on a 35 day cycle since I can remember except when my endo was acting out. Now it changed to a 25-26 day cycle and it is throwing me all off. Not to mention this is my first time ever checking CP and CM. So all new to me. I will let everyone know either way. I do however feel like I am.... but that isn't saying much. Symptoms varied with my other two kids when they started and what symptoms I had. So I know this pregnancy is going to be different too.

Implantation bleeding is really not that common, but what is fairly common is spotting/bleeding around the time of expected AF.  It is likely this is what happened with your dd and was not indicative of extremely late implantation.  There is, of course, no way to know for certain.

Sounds like you've been through quite a bit with your health!  I wish you the best of luck TTC and hope to see you post a BFP very soon!

Thanks. I really don't know what is going on this evening. I am having major major cramps/pulling in my lower abdomen and it is radiating up my hips and around into my back. The worst AF cramps if that is what they are. I have been laying down all day to try and relieve them, they subside until I try to move around again. I was hoping for a smooth pregnancy if that is the case and I am. From this point and I am it isn't looking good for me. I had bad pregnancies. My son wasn't horrible, started going into labor with him at 5 months. Had to leave work and be on bed rest. My daughter I was going in and out of labor starting at 3 months. I was in the worst pain everyday. I even almost lost her at birth. She wouldn't breath for like 5 minutes. My son started crying once his head was out. lol. She stopped growing at 35 weeks. She had the cord wrapped around her head, and then around her arm. I would have had another baby sooner, but I was scared to. The pain was just unbearable. Natural labor with no meds was better than the pain I felt on a daily basis. My doctor started manually dialating me after one cm because he couldn't legally induce me until I was 4 cm or something seriously wrong so he was secretly helping me get there faster. lol. He was a premie baby doctor before a ob so he wasn't worried about the baby coming. He didn't attempt this until I was 35 weeks. Anyway... when I was pregnant I swear I tore a ligament and that is why I have complications. That and the doctor said I never gave my body to heal from the procedures I mentioned above. So I waited 2 years. Hope that is long enough. rolleyes.gif
