Hello,

My brother and his wife moved to Madison a few months ago with their now almost 4 year old daughter and 14 month old son.  They're living in a smallish apartment and have a limited income for the time being, so I wanted to get the kids some non-toy gifts.  Something along the lines of membership to the Children's Museum (but maybe not so much--we have limit of $25 per kid).

Any ideas?  What I have thought of so far (thanks to momsinmadison.com) is trying to give them a gift certificate or designated money to take the kids for a few sessions at an open gym or indoor pool.  And actually if you think something bigger like a membership to the children's museum is the way to go, I can try to convince grandma and grandpa to chip in with me (and reduce the amount of toys they give as well!)

I appreciate any advice!  I don't live in the area so I am unsure of the best, age appropriate activities in that area.

Thanks,

Steph
