I buy a flax oil 3-6-9 blend so it has the right balance of the different omega fats. I mix it in DS's yogurt, oatmeal, applesauce, etc, and some of our foods too. I just see it as an easy way to get the Omega-3s he needs now that he is no longer nursing. I haven't heard any health risks associated with it. We eat about a tsp-tbls a day each, but I don't measure it.
