Visiting NYC and Westchester next week...fun stuff to do?

My kids are 6 and 2!  I'd like to take the 6yo to a play/music event...something!  Any and all suggestions appreciated!

Time Out New York for Kids is a good place to look.  The Children's Museum of Manhattan just opened a really cool Eat, Sleep, Play exhibit where you can slide down a tongue:)  Other than that there are story hours a lot of places depending on what part of town you're in. Possibly the Marionettes are still doing free shows in the park on the weekends but it might be over.  My last one is the rinks, they should be open by now:)
