Looking for other Italian mothers - located in Italy (Italia)

I am American born, Italian by blood- who decided to move back to Italy after I married. But that is not what has brought me to this website....the reason I have come to this forum is because I want to give birth, at home with just me and my husband. I have found ZERO support for this, and being that I am not from Italy- I have many questions about how to register my baby after he is born, or even other stories of support to make me feel a little better.

My husband is so freaked out about the idea of us giving birth at home, and I can say that my mother, nor his mother have given a supportive word towards my choice to do so.

Any advice? Other fellow Italian moms who have chosen this path?
