Help Us Find a NO Vax Friendly Doctor near Oneonta, Binghamton or Norwich NY PLEASE!!!!!!!!

We just received notice that the doctor we have been using is leaving the practice.  I have heard of ONE other ped in our area that is ok with not vaxing and she is only taking babies right now :(.  Can someone PLEASE help me find a doctor that is ok with not vaxing, takes a natural approach AND is actually good with kids LOL.  We are near Sidney/Unadilla area but willing to drive.  Thanks!

I am actually looking for the same thing myself, can't help you yet. But what is the name of the doc accepting babies? I could at least get my 7 month old seen... Thanks!

I take my vax free kids to Dr. Maerz (in Johnson City).  He's not overly  natural minded, though he is tolerant of my "weirdness".  In the same building, though, is a naturopath (Dr. Fey - she's an awesome homebirthin' mama!) who I take my family to if I'm looking for more natural answers.  Dr. Maerz gives me "the line" about how I'm taking a risk, but I just nod and say "no thanks" and it sort of works out.  I know we're not the only non/selective/delayed vaxers in his practice, though.  I don't think he likes it but he accepts that it's our choice.  He's awesome with the kids, though... he looks like santa claus.  LOL  I also like his nurse practitioners (maybe even more, really).  I know there's a couple other no-vax-tolerant doctors in the area, though, because my friends go to other doctors.  Dr. Gherig at endwell family physicians is really naturally minded (will recommend herbs, etc) but it's nearly impossible to get in with him because he's very popular.  Might be worth a try, though...

jolene99 it is Dr. Battla in Johnson City that I called a month or so ago.  I had seen several recommendations for her on a homeschool group. At that time they told me she was taking babies.  Please let me know if you hear of anyone good taking new patients.

Jenna, thanks for that suggestion.  We have used Amanda Fey before and you are right she is terrific!!
