Boston Public Schools and vaccination exemptions

We're entering into the famed Boston Public School lottery system this coming school year and I'm wondering if anybody here has dealt with putting a non-vaxed child into the school system? I currently have an exemption form in his file with his private preschool, but I understand that I will need his vax forms when I register him for K2 for the upcoming lottery.  Do I use the same type of template/form letter that I submitted with his preschool paperwork, or is there a different one for the public school systems?  Any heads up on potential issues I will be faced with because of his non-vaxed status?

Any insight is appreciated!

We recently moved to Mass, and encountered quite an issue with this subject and my Kindergartener...we were basically harassed in the hallway by the school nurse, told he had to leave the premises, and told that there was no such thing as a Mass vax exemption form. I finally had to sternly tell her that my child was not getting these shots and that I needed a religious exemption now. That pretty much shut her up - lucky for her because I could have sued under HIPA for the public outburst.

But we have to switch schools again and I would love to have the form if one exists!

There's no form. You just write a letter but you can look up the state law and include that on your letter if you wish too.  It has to be either a medical exemption or a religious one, in MA.  Examples have been posted on this forum in the past, too.
