The numbers used here are different than in the US.

I had a blood test done recently for myself, and a year ago for my kids. Can someone translate the numbers in comparison with the US ones?

We're all taking Vit. D now. How much should we be taking?   I also have some minor joint issues, so I know the Vit. D should help for that too.

Thanks.

I don't know anything about Canada, but have you tried vitamindcouncil.org?

I have no idea what Canada says, but many docs in the us feel that above 50 is good (vitamindcouncil doctors say this), but other doctors, whom I disagree w/ , say that 20 is fine.  So if Canda has low end of 20 as normal, it would be good to get that up.  HOpe you get some answers!

Are you close to the US-Canadian border? It seems like the cutoffs for someone in northern NY would be the same as someone in Montreal, but maybe not? Here's a good article on Vitamin D testing that may help you make sense of this. Good luck! Try vitaminD Council too.
