ARGH! Unfair!

Exactly 2 months later, I got my period back today.  Unfair.  Dislike.  That is all.

Although I guess it explains why I've kind of felt like murderizing my family the past few days...

Uggggg.  BIG TIME unfair :(

Or at least I think that's what it is?  Some red spotting, and today nothing.

How long has it been since you've had any postpartum spotting? My midwife just mentioned to me that it can come and go for a few more weeks (I'm 7 weeks PP).

I'm almost 9 weeks...my postpartum bleeding stopped around 7 weeks or so.  I was wondering if that could be it, but it was red, so I thought it must be AF.  But if nothing else happens, I'm guessing that is what it was?  I was lifting a bunch of heavy stuff a couple days ago.

I got mine last week. At 5 weeks pp. In spite of nursing on demand, cosleeping, and not having been separated from baby at all. At least this time I was expecting it, but i feel your pain!

I thought I had one at 8 weeks exactly too. I bled somewhat lightly for four or five days, after going out and dancing for the first time pp.  A doula friend of mine said it could definitely have been just  resurgence of pp bleeding kind of a "warning" to take it easy. Im hoping so!

I thought I got mine the other day too, but it seems to have just been light spotting... hmm. shrug.gif

My OB told me spotting could go on for awhile longer than six weeks too. I've had bleeding, but I just got the Mirena IUD a little over a week ago, which apparently can have bleeding/spotting for the first three months! I was started to feel really good post partum, now BC troubles. Go figure.

I really think periods are the crappiest part of being a woman. I like knowing/understanding my cycles and appreciate my fertility, but the bleeding and cramping just sucks.

Well, I'm not sure what that was but now I've most definitely got my period. Ugh. Just had that one bit of spotting and then nothing, but last night the heavy bleeding started and hasn't stopped. Hate it.

weird. I thought that was my period for sure. I bleed for over 10 DAYS. so I thought maybe it was just weird since I'd just had a baby. Then, a week or so later, I have sex and I'm spotting again for a few days. It stops again, and now again, I'm spotting. Mostly brownish, but some red. Baby will be 3 months old in 2 days. Is this normal? Could it be from the rupture? Think I should be concerned?

I'd call your HCP just to be sure it's pp-weirdness and not possibly anything to do with your uterus. I wouldn't want to take any chances with anything being funky after the rupture. Hopefully it's nothing!

I had my first period 6 weeks pp with my first. I just had my copper IUD inserted about a month ago. I had some spotting and then two days later light bleeding for two days and then a few days of spotting again. I had stopped bleeding about 4 weeks pp, so I'm thinking it could be my period considering what happened with my first. My periods were 29 days like clockwork, so if that's the case this time around I anticipate my period again this Wednesday. This sucks.

Okay so just touching in on this again.  I had a sort of period at 8 weeks , after going out, then a month later I went back to work for a week ,which was somewhat physically stressful, and had another period.  these were both at the beginning of the month, first in November , then December.  I decided to not go back to work for now, so when January rolled around I wasn't sure what was going to happen... I had some mild cramping for about four days, but never bled at all.  I've been breastfeeding night and day on demand and pumping too.  (But she does at times sleep for 6 hours at night) .  Also... we have DTD a couple times unprotected (but still pull out method-haha sorry if its TMI), before we started using condoms.  I have had a couple weird headaches in the last couple days... I shouldn't be worried I could be pregnant again already?? right?? Is this worth taking a test, or should I just assume because Im not doing anything too strenuous that my period has just backed off for now.  ?  Thoughts mamas?

When you were working, were you pumping? I have read/heard if you don't EBF rigidly, it's not as foolproof of a birth control method as you think... it's probably a small to zero chance you're pregnant again already, but if you've got any doubt in your mind just pick up a test. $20 well spent for the piece of mind.

Yep, I was pumping after about 3 hours of work.  Im thinking the test would be a good idea, just in case!

99 cent store tests seem to be the most sensitive...and good for you getting back on the horse :)
