Subcorionic Hemorage ... :(

So I'm 9w1d today and last night I started bleeding.  I saw all the red blood in the toilet and prepared myself for the worst.  I laid on my heating pad and hoped it all went quickly.  This morning I was having off and on bleeding but not continual bleeding and no cramping.  Went to the Dr this morning and had another ultrasound and the baby was in there with a great heart rate of 181 (I'm totally guessing GIRL!) and there was a sac of blood right at my cervix.  The hope this point is that it reabsorbs or finishes coming out soon.  There's nothing that can be done and my activity doesn't make a difference.  So I sit and wait :(

I am so sorry to hear that you are going through this.  Thinking positive thoughts that this is just a tiny blip and everything will be completely fine!!!!

So what does that mean? What if it stays? What if it pops? What if it comes out?

Well, they *typically* resorb (that's what they called it) in the 2nd trimester, but the bleeding I'm doing is the bleed that's trapped in my uterus.  So, maybe it leaks all out.  If I start gushing blood obviously that's bad, if I start cramping bad then, well that's bad too.  So I could technically have a miscarriage if it gets bad or doesn't go away, maybe?  I did have one with B as well and it was behind the placenta.  I would just randomly bleed, lots and then it would stop then a few days later it would happen again.  They did advise against sex though, at least until it's gone.  I don't know what would happen if it doesn't go away though, I didn't ask that.  I'm high risk and will be having ultrasounds like twice a week so I'm sure they'll keep an eye out in case it doesn't go away maybe?!

I know not every lady has this....but soooooo many ladies do honey. I'd bet anything that this is going to be okay...I bet you may bleed a little more, but that it WILL reabsorb. This, I think, is WAY better than "unexplained" bleeding...which they always categorize as "threatened miscarriage" - at least with something like this there is a clear reason for the bleeding, it's not your body threatening to miscarriage...the bleed is in a great place..and a ton of women have this happen and get through it just fine.

It's going to be okay ,dear Tenk, rest up and try to take care....we'll sail right through this and won't even remember it soon enough, you'll see!

I know a handful of women who had this and they all had otherwise perfect pregnancies and healthy babies.  Several people suggested it when they heard I had spotting as a common and usually harmless cause for it.  (They can see blood in my u/s too but they can't tell what it's from still.)  I'm sorry this is happening, last night must have been so scary!  The good news is, we hit the 9 week mark, only a few more weeks until the worst is behind us!

Ah yes, putting the worst behind us.  LOL, I can't wait.  I was a bit bummed yesterday when I saw my Dr.  There are like 7 OB's in the practice and 3 that have delivered me, but of course over the last several years I've seen them all.  Well, yesterday I saw one that hasn't been a *regular* for me and she's my age blah blah.  Well I wanted to ask some questions about switching over to the high risk group at the hospital (I have to do it before 20 weeks) and she asked when my appt was with them.  I said I didn't have one yet because I was told I could stay with them as long as I wanted to.  She said well, maybe after your Dec 8th appt with us you should go ahead and move over there to them.  I was again, somewhat offended.  Oh well, it is what it is I suppose.

Wow, that was rather inconsiderate of her!

I hope all is good (or at least improving) now.

hug2.gif I had a SCH with my 5th. So much blood, it was scary. It did somewhat resolve itself but I do still think it was probably why he showed up at 36weeks. I think I had another with my 6th but by the time I got in for an u/s there was nothing to see and I went full term. But everything was very similar to my 5th pregnancy.  This time is different but still lots of brown spotting and occasional red spotting. They did see a little blood during my u/s at 6.5 weeks and said I had a SCH. So we'll see what happens. I have usually gotten the blood gushes at 12 weeks so I'm getting anxious to see what happens in a bout a week. It's so stressful but it does seem that SCH do resolve themselves by about 20 weeks or so.

Wow, thanks for sharing this with me, I hope you don't have to worry about the gush this time.  A lady in my DDC with B had one and it was sooooo bad, he baby ended up coming at like 26 weeks (maybe less) and at a point they weren't even sure if he was a boy or a girl because he had struggled so much in utero.  And, i do know the bleed is small.
