need help interpreting FF chart...

I think that I ovulated on day 16 or 17- why won't my chart tell me I ovulated?  I miscarried in Sept. and didn't get my period for 1.5 months afterward, could this be what is throwing it off?  I am kinda new to charting, so maybe I am reading it wrong.  It also seems like my pre-ovulatory temps are pretty high, is that normal?

Your link isn't working.  When you go into fertilityfriend, go to "Sharing" at the top, then click "Setup."  You will see your charting homepage web adddress here that you can copy and paste.  I'm so sorry for your loss in September. hug2.gif  I've just gone through my second loss myself.  It is common that cycles are off for a while after a miscarriage, and the later the miscarriage is, it seems like the longer it takes your body to get back to its regular cycles.

can you see it now?

I can see it.   And you're right, your pre-O temps are quite high.  I'm sure this is lingering progesterone from your previous pregnancy.  I'm so sorry for your loss!  How far along were you?  If you were a bit farther along then the hormones can linger for some time.

If I had to guess, though, I'd say that you did O and probably on CD 17.  Since you don't have CD 18's temp it's difficult to say, but based on your CF and CP, CD 17 seems the most likely.  Your coverline would likely be around 97.4 or 97.5.  You seem to have the "calm before the O" as I like to call it where your erratic/high temps dropped and leveled off for a few days and then spiked.  So for now I would say you are 10 DPO and could test tomorrow if you wanted or wait a couple days to see if AF shows.

There is a slim chance, however, that you only just O'd around CD 26 where your temp spiked high, higher than all your previous temps.  Your CF and CP do not support this assessment, but things can be quite off when regulating from a hormonal event like a miscarriage.  So in the event that you get BFN's and no AF for another week, this may be the cause.

Good luck and keep us posted!

I was 10 weeks along when the miscarriage happened. I ovulated 30 days later, AF 15ish days after that and possibly ovulated again about 16 days later, so I was hoping that I would be on some type of consistent cycle and get AF or a BFP 15 days after last ovulation, but I am starting to have my doubts.  BFN this morning, so hopefully I get my period in a couple of days and not have another 45 day cycle...

I just couldn't shake the feeling that AF wasn't coming...I was right- tested this afternoon and got a BFP!  Still pretty faint though.  With my last pregnancy ending in miscarriage, I am cautiously excited.

Big temp drop this morning and some possible spotting.  I also have taken subsequent preg. tests and they are showing up lighter and lighter...Looks like this was not my month after all.

I'm sorry... that is not comforting.  BUT, one temp does not make a pattern, so FX that it goes right back up tomorrow.  A sudden drop in temp could be an estrogen surge, which also caused the spotting.  Also, the manufacturers of HPT's are very clear about the fact that you cannot rely on the darkness of the line as an indication of viability.  While anecdotally there is some evidence that higher hCG levels create darker lines, really it it the amount of time it takes for the line to show up that is more indicative of your hCG level.  If the line show right away, but is faint, I would take that as a more positive sign than if the line took the entire 10 minute window to show regardless of darkness.  Keep us posted!   sticky.gif

got AF 2 days ago-  It actually ended up being only about 1 day later than expected...

My temp still didn't ended up going down too much, I am wondering if I might have the same pattern as last month with the fairly high pre-ovulatory temps- does anyone know if that is a problem for ttc?

Oh, I'm sorry!  hug2.gif  A chemical pregnancy... not surprising that your pre-O temps would remain a little higher throughout AF b/c of this.  They should go down shortly after AF.  And no, this is not a problem TTC, in fact, it could assist in TTC.  Many women are more fertile a couple cycles after an early m/c because of the lingering hormones, though O may be delayed by a few days.
