My sweet baby Calliope has RSV. mecry.gifIt has been a long couple days.

nak (thankfully! she's finally eating a little more.)

greensad.gif sorry to hear that.  haven't experienced it myself, but one of DDS's buddies had it when he was under a year old and wound up in the ER cuz he was so wheezy.  hope she's doing ok...nerve-wracking when they're so little and they get sick.

Oh, no!! Wishing her a quick and easy recovery, and as much rest as possible for you.

Oh no!  That must be scary.  I'm glad she is eating better and hope you are all back to normal soon.  What were symptoms you noticed?

Thanks, guys. Her symptoms were pretty obvious - coughing, wheezing, chest retracting, runny nose, labored/fast breathing, less interest in eating.

We had another ped appt this morning and were admitted to the hospital. Her blood oxygen level was coming in at 89. She responded very quickly to a small amount of oxygen though. So, here we are. sigh She just had a good feed and is sound asleep on me. <3

I'm so sorry to hear that things went downhill with her. Many hugs to you.

DD1 never had RSV, but had a lot of wheezing episodes when she was smaller, but not so small as your LO. So, so scary.  I hope she is on the mend & feeling better soon!

Thank you. :) It is pretty scary but at least now I can look up at the monitor when she seems to be doing terribly and see that her O2 is good. Unfortunately, if the little nose mask even comes off for a minute her level drops very fast. It drops when she cries too. :( We have to have her stable on room air before they will let us leave. So.. seems like that probably won't be today but I guess you never know. These little ones can be so tough!

I am so tired that I don't even feel it anymore. The past 4 nights I have slept maybe 3 hours each with no good naps. It has to end sometime, right? I can't last like this forever.

Nicole, just a note to let you know that I am thinking of you both and hoping all is going well. I hope she is stable on room air soon! Hang in there.
