I am 8 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child (first delivered vaginally and is 7 years old).
4 years ago I had an abdominal myomectomy to remove a grapefruit sized fibroid tumor which left my uterus compromised. I was unable to get pregnant due to the surgery and ended up doing 4 rounds of IVF.
I have taken a lot of hormones and medication throughout my quest to get pregnant and am concerned about adding to this chemical load for my baby and me. I am unable to have a vaginal birth this time due to the surgery and a significant risk of uterine rupture.
Can anyone give me any suggestions for which medications I can avoid during csection?
Any direction or advice is much appreciated!
Thanks,
Christine
