Me and my toilet: my ten-pound homebirth!

My full homebirth story is posted on my blog: http://travelingmonkeys.org/2011/11/25/moira-part-1/

I didn't get into this part in the post because I wanted to save it for Part 2, but these were Moira's vital stats: 10lb 2oz, 21" long, 15" head circumference. There was NO tearing at all. I had no need for sutures and was up and walking around less than an hour later. My recovery has been uneventful and I credit that to the midwives maneuvering me into a position that best helped nature. I just wanted to post that part here because I feel the need to give some reassurance: you CAN have an enormous baby at home without trauma!

Thanks everyone! It was such a wonderful experience and Moira is a phenomenal baby--just as relaxed and snuggly as can be.
