Swest.Bee, how are you?
Lavatea, he is awesome! So sweet and cuddly.
lavatea, he's so cute! I love the lights. We have our tree decorated only with LED light chains because fragile ornaments would not last long in our household.
Kinza, I'm doing all right, though most of my muscles are sore. I feel huge. I will be 38 weeks tomorrow, which is around when I gave birth last time. I hope baby comes soon. Her head is measuring 4 weeks ahead (the rest of her measurements are right on schedule)! How are you feeling? How are your twins doing?
I hope everyone is doing well. Happy New Year!
Just wishing a happy New Year to all.
Sweet Bee- Baby?
Lavatea-What a lovely little man
Kinza- So happy for you every time I see those two little hearts in your signature.
As I shared on some other threads, I heard a beautiful heart beat about a week ago. The Litte One did not like the doppler and promptly tried to hide. I hit 15 weeks today and I definitely look pregnant. Glad to be into the 2nd trimester. We will be working on fixing up our new (and in need of much work) house this weekend. There is so much that I should not do when it comes to remodling, I think am going to feel a bit useless.
8 weeks today. Still fighting the all-day morning sickness. First day in over a week that I haven't thrown up before noon. I have basically accomplished this by eating, but drinking almost no water. Not exactly ideal. I do have my first midwife appointment on Thursday, so I am excited about that!
Glad we have so many graduates on here!
No, no baby yet. I know my due date isn't until the 15th, but since I gave birth last time at 38 weeks, it feels like it should happen soon. I guess I'm also nervous, like I won't feel she's safe until I have her in my arms.
I have been losing more goo lately, which could be parts of the mucus plug, I suppose. No sure signs of upcoming labor, though. I'm really hoping it happens this week. I want to meet her!
CA, glad the baby is doing well.
monkey, have you tried crackers or toast? I lived on nothing but that for weeks early on in my last pregnancy.
sweet.bee - I kind of hope this baby comes a little late just so I don't get my hopes up for future babies! But I hope your little girl joins you soon. I have tried crackers, and most of the time they just sound completely unappealing. I've been doing animal crackers lately, which is a bit better, but for some reason, a lot of times my saliva just gets a nasty taste to it after I eat something, especially something like crackers, and that also makes me feel sick. It's frustrating because it seems like every day, even every hour is different. For awhile, apples were my best friend. But now they seem to make me really sick. Which is especially irritating because they sound so juicy and nice in my dehydration. I honestly think I may try to have dh buy some Kool Aid for me to drink, just in hopes I could keep it down. But I have not thrown up yet today!! I've managed to keep down rice Chex, half a chocolate muffin, a little bit of juice, and some chicken noodle soup. Nothing fantastic, but it's almost 3 PM, so I'm pretty excited!
Monkeyscience - I hope you start feeling better soon... I think I started feeling better towards the end of week 8. I just ate what sounded good and didn't worry that most of it was pretty crappy food... I drank lots of gatorade because that is all that appealed to me and I usually only drink water...
SweetBee - hoping for news of your little ones arrival soon! Hope you are comfortable and enjoying your last few days of pregnancy.
Lavatea - he is precious, those pictures are great!
CACountryGirl - glad to hear you are doing well, and yay for looking pregnant!
AFM - had my anatomy ultrasound this morning... It's a boy! I'm so excited to know even though I didn't care either way - this one was my tiebreaker! We did get some worrisome news that baby only has a single artery umbilical cord (SAU), which I've never even heard and could lead to other problems (growth retardation) or indicate other defects, but it could also be nothing... I will be going back for monthly ultrasounds to check growth and a fetal cardio echo next month. I'm trying really hard not to freak out... everything else on the ultrasound was completely normal and the baby was very active and obviously growing well...
Congrats Sweetest, on a little boy. Sorry that the ultrasound was a bit worrying, but it sounds like they intend on keeping on top of it! And extra ultrasounds are good excuse to check out bubs!
Monkey, I've been thinking of you a lot. Congrats on 8 weeks! I found these ice blocks to be invaluable with the dehydration. You should be able to get these or something similar at a pharmacy.
So I'm continuously leaking what might be amniotic fluid. I don't know. It's clear and has no smell.
When I woke up around 4 to pee, I started feeling strong cramping and back pain. I thought the contractions would follow, but they did not. Maybe today or tomorrow? Last time, I leaked about a day or two before going into labor.
sweetest, congratulations on the boy!
CACountryGirl, yay for hearing the heartbeat! Home remodeling sounds exciting even if you can't participate in some of it.
Monkey, I hope you are still feeling less awful. My horrible morning sickness went away sometime during week 8, so I'm hoping for you. Of course, then I freaked out because I wasn't throwing up twenty times a day anymore. It sucks to need misery to feel that things are ok.
Sweetest, congrats on the little boy! And sorry you got some news that seems not so happy. But it sounds like he's doing great and you don't need to really worry about it right now.
Sweet.Bee, sounds promising!
AFM, had ten week ultrasound yesterday. The babies had caught up in growth to where they should be and were dancing around and waving their little arms and bobbing their heads, which was just pretty freaking awesome. I've been released from the RE and have my first OB/GYN appointment in three weeks. Also, my belly button is disappearing already.
kyamo - Can't believe how close you're getting! Have fun knitting for your little guy!
AFM, good news!! They were able to find a heartbeat with the doppler yesterday, even though I'm only 8 weeks along. 160 BPM, sounded like a tiny train! I was sad dh couldn't make it to this appointment to hear it. But he will be there next month. We also took a quick ultrasound peek to rule out twins, at dh's request. Just one little bean in there. Midwife says it looks good, though it was just a portable machine, so no measurements were done. She said she saw the baby, and saw it move. I may or may not have seen the baby - very blurry, so hard to say. But I thought I saw a little bean with a little umbilical cord attached. Anyway, seems the morning sickness has been worth it so far - my great fear was that the baby stopped growing a long time ago and I was sick for nothing. But not the case! So we are going to start telling more people now, which I'm excited about! Morning sickness seems to be slowly improving, though it's by no means gone. Today, for whatever reason, my stomach is insisting on being continuously acidy and upset-feeling. Hoping to feel better by tonight, since we're supposed to be going out to dinner with friends!
Sweetbee - I keep checking in on you... hope all is well!
Kinza - so happy to hear your babies are doing good!
Kyamo - hope your ultrasound goes well next week. What are you knitting for baby? I'm a knitter too and I'm making way too many soakers and longies, they are just so cute and fun to knit.
Monkey - Yay for hearing the heartbeat. I remember what a huge relief that was for me!
AFM - I've done some more research on SUA (I think I had the wrong acronym the first time...) and I'm feeling somewhat reassured. Some Dr's don't do any followup for a single artery umbilical cord when everything else is normal, so I'm feeling relieved that the perinatalogist that I saw is just being hypervigilant (she said she was, but I didn't believe her!)
Our little girl Lyra was born at home early Monday morning (39w1d). 49cm and 3010g (19.3in/6.6lb).
