yeahthat.gif  yeap.

really by month 8/9 with DS I was so over being pregnant, DH said I kept saying 'I dont care anymore, just cut him out of me. I am done!' and I tried everything after week 39 to get labor going and nothing worked which made it all the worse. I actually googled 'can a women be pregnant forever' at one point

Of course, DS didnt decide to come till I was 42w2d.. 2whistle.gif which made the lesson all the harsher for me because by then I was really over it. I swear thats why my labor was so fast. wink1.gif

ithappened, LOL!  I love that google phrase.  My friends and family who have had kids all say that they're convinced the point of being so miserable at the end is that you don't care one way or another how that kid gets out of you.  Hilarious.  Seeing as my belly is already feeling squished though, I'm not looking forward to an outdoor wedding I have to attend at 8 months preggo (in July... at a resort... where I have to get to the ceremony on a ski lift.... did I mention in July?... NOT COOL).

if it makes you feel any better, we have a beach holiday the first week of september with family and Im due in August.. it wont be pretty for any of us.

Two words for you: Swim Dress. orngbiggrin.gif

I'll admit, its times like these I wish I was radically Muslim.

The last thing I want to have to do 4-6 weeks after birth of twins is wear a bikini in front of my most judgmental ILs. Horrible but true.

When DS was born, the first thing my FIL said to me, 2 days after the birth, when they visited was 'how much weight I had gained?' and then he gave me an assessment of how long it would take for me to lose it in his opinion.. I mean..  WHAT?! banghead.gif I'm not sure I have still forgiven him for that one yet innocent.gif ..

Ummmm, ithappened, I don't think you ever have to forgive him.... ever.  Who are these people?  I'm super lucky in in-laws, personally, so I wouldn't know what to do if someone said something like that to me.  And there is no way in hell I would go anywhere near a bathing suit 4 weeks post-partum.  You are a braver woman than I.

In other fun new symptoms news, I'm having constipation (yay!) which is alleviated by eating oat bran every day, but on the days I forget.... not good.  Preggo insomnia has reared its ugly head again, though it's been on an off.  And I've been having weird almost menstrual cramps if I lie on my back too long at night, so I'm taking that as a sign that I need to just roll over.  Sadly, my back is still my most comfortable position, but I guess not anymore.

lilytiger I have been having constipation for the last 2 weeks or so. I found adding flaxseed (milled) helps and also tried fruit- prunes especially! 1-3 a day do WONDERS for me.

As for the ILs, they are really horrible people.. I hate to say it. My FIL is basically 60 going on 13. Its sad that he is the only family we have here and yet isnt family at all.

Ithappened - I feel for you. Less than supportive ILs are not fun to deal with. Mine are the passive-aggressive, silently disapproving type. It drives DH and I crazy! For the beach vaca, I would look for a chic cover up that you love. That way, you feel good about how you look and when you in the water it won't matter anyway. It's all about feeling good, yes? I've also had some on/off trouble w constipation. The flax seed is a good tip, I wonder if chia seeds would work in a similar way? I have a big bag of them in the cupboard.

the cover up is a GREAT idea.. thanks!

ithappened & LeAnn - sorry to hear of the non supportive IL's - esp. if they are the only "family" near to you!

I found that quinoa with flax seeds and/or chia seeds for breakfast is very helpful to "keep things moving".  Also a glass of warm water with a half lemon squeezed (1st thing in morning) can also work wonders (sweeten w/honey)!

All my shirts now look like little "belly shirts" on me - time to get longer maternity tanks/tees!  I'm already packing away 95% of the clothes in my closet so that I only have to look at "what fits".  The rest would just be getting in the away for the next 12 months.  That gives me about a 1/2 drawer right now, although by spring I should be able to wear most of my existing long sundresses/maxis.  It saddens me to think how long it may be to fit back into some of my favorite outfits, if ever again....

A sarong makes a really cute cover-up that is flattering, while hiding you well.  You just need a big piece of material.  Hold it behind you, like you're wrapping up in a towel.  Cross it in front of you, then cross the top corners and tie them behind your neck.

I lived in these when I was a super body-conscious teenager in Bangkok.

The sarong is good.  I'm so fat all the time, I can't imagine even putting that on though.  I have a Muslim-ish swimsuit NOW. LOL

That sneeze someone mentioned....OUCHY.  I get that sometimes too. Round ligament pain.

OMG, I'm at a coffee shop doing work and in the past two hours I have had to go to the bathroom four times.  What the?  I'm seriously going to have to invest in a catheter.  I'm planning a run for later today and I can't even imagine what it's going to be like...  I'll have to run around the block so I can stop at home for pee breaks.  Ugh.

lilytiger yes.. peeing.. ALL the time. its horrible. I think I go 15 times a day right now (but Im also drinking a lot of water.. so)

As for me- -

Sex drive?

Anyone?

I have zero. I mean, negative. 2whistle.gif

I just feel fat right now, I have hemorrhoids and my back is always hurting.. at night I am so exhausted I just want to go to sleep, and beside DS and the dog, I really don't want anyone touching me.. is this horrible? I dont remember it being this bad with DC1 until much later in the pregnancy.. I guess it doesn't help my clothes all feel really tight too and nothing is comfortable. I need to stop wearing jeans and stick with dresses the rest of this year..

anyhow.

I am not one of those women who sees a spike in her sex drive while pregnant; it's the exact opposite, in fact. It's just not how it goes for me. I feel badly for my husband, but we do what we can to make sure we're both as happy as possible.

I finally am getting mine back after having NONE since getting pregnant.  Last night I tried to convince my husband, but he said "I'm glad you're into it again, but let's wait until you're actually likely to stay awake throughout."  I said FINE and then fell asleep about 30 seconds later.

I would agree with the negative...there is no nice way to say this...and i would never say it to DH, but I'm pretty repulsed by the whole thing.  Hate is not too strong of a word at this point.  But yeah, I still try to meet his needs...and he knows I'm not really loving it like I should and respects that!

Why can't I be one of those women who LOVE it and can't get enough with preggo?

yes. me too, when we do DTD I find myself making 'to do' list in my head and writing emails.. its horrible to admit that.. and I know from my last pregnancy it only gets worse as I get further along.

I think a big part of it could be I'm just not sleeping well and haven't been for weeks.. all the congestion and then co-sleeping with DS who is like a circus act when he sleeps (he does not stop moving) is making it hard to get a good night sleep.. I might try sleeping on the couch tonight just to have some stillness around me.

I would like to have sex (during one of the times when my libido is high - it comes & goes) but I'm too scared. It almost certainly will cause bleeding because of the polyp on my cervix.

while Im at the Q&A phase with everyone innocent.gif is anyone struggling with lower back pain, esp in the evenings? Any tips for relief?
