Signs and symptoms - Page 42

My latest symptom is... making weird noises in my sleep?! I'm not talking, just making little noises in my throat, according to my partner. And I catch myself doing it as I fall asleep.

I'm also dealing with heartburn, ugh. Because I've had a cold, I've been sleeping propped up anyway, and that seems to help, but I don't want to have to sleep like that for the next 3 months since it's hard on my back.

Thanks to those of you who asked about my back pain. My chiropractor actually diagnosed it as hip flexor/psoas pain. Ice, electric stim, and adjustments, plus just the changing position of the baby have helped and I've been pain-free for over a week. :D

Is anyone else still throwing up? I still do about once a week. It doesn't seem to be very related to what/how much I eat, but rather if I don't take pepcid or I just have a day where I am feeling other very hormonal symptoms (sore bbs, dizzy) that seems to come back, but mostly with the heartburn. Had a bad night tonight. Getting sick of it, I thought I would be "done" throwing up!

eleuthia I've been getting reflux or heartburn a lot the last 2 weeks, mostly if I eat more then a few bites of anything then go vertical (like on my bike/swimming or bed). I found 2 tums helps- I tried chia seed and papaya extract but it didn't have any effect for me.

boots no, vomiting stopped for me around 16w...

Right now I seem to be having this restless leg syndrome at night it does not matter how much I exercise or even if I take electrolytes etc- I still get it. Yesterday I got a massage and it was the first time in weeks I didn't have the pain at night- so now if I can just figure out a way to get a massage every week 2whistle.gif

So glad your back is feeling better!

I threw up for the first time in months yesterday--we were driving on a curvy road, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have gotten that sick if I wasn't pregant. I've also had a couple of episodes in the last few weeks were I suddenly felt nausous but didn't vomit.   My mom vomitted constantly all 9 months when she was pregnant with me . . . hmm, I should really do something nice for her for Mother's Day.

Been having the noises too!!!  They actually wake me up.  But it's only in certain positions....laying on my right side, or laying on my left with my hand by my face.  weird!

So, this is a leetle personal, but what the heck.  I woke up last night from a crazy pregnancy sex dream and what woke me up was a really painful contraction that was NOT a B-H contraction.  It felt like a really intense menstrual cramp and started in the back all the way through the front.  My uterus was hard as a rock and it really really hurt.  I rolled over and it went away and I haven't had anything else since.  Is this just a normal weird sex contraction (I can't believe this stuff happens while I sleep) or something to be worried about?  I'm figuring it's just sort of normal, since it wasn't accompanied by bleeding and it was an isolated incident.  I'll tell my doc at my next appointment, but that's not for three weeks.  Is it worth contacting her sooner?  Or is it just a crazy preggo body doing crazy (but normal) things?

Lily- sounds a lot like how my BHs feek to me.. or it could also be round lig pain.. is that possible?

On a really embarrassing note- does anyone else feel like your lady parts are really swollen? Not painful just engrossed... I feel like one of those monkeys at the zoo.. surrender.gif

For me, contractions from the "Big-O" are not painful at all, they feel just like strong BH contractions (no aches).  I get BH contractions all day and they're more frequent in the evenings when I'm laying on the couch after dinner (incidentally that's when Baby gets super active too).  However this week I am starting to also feel more cramping/achy-ness in my cervix and lower region along with those BH (but no backache).  I'm chalking it up to just another new stage, but am going to mention it to my doctor when I see him this week.  They always say to drink 2 glass of water and lay down, and call the doc if the cramps/contractions increase in frequency/intensity/duration....

LOL!  Ummm, YES here.....

After 10 long weeks, my placenta previa corrected itself and I FINALLY got the green light to get "back in the saddle"..... what an utter disappointment to learn how much my body/joints/parts have changed - for the worse - over that amount of time.  Sex now feels like I'm the recipient of a body transplant - can't maneuver like I could before and nothing feels like it used to or how it should.  It's just not right!!!

yeah there is that too..

I just don't even enjoy it at this point either, I feel so awkward, bloated and uncomfortable already that the idea of having anything additional down there that doesn't have to be is totally unappealing.. I am guessing having hemmhoroids doesn't help either.. eyesroll.gif we are still having sex but I think we're down to once every week or two and its more an act of community service on my end then anything else at this point.. I just wait for it to be over as soon as it starts shake.gif

LOL, same here with relations.  Although, my sweet, sweet husband understands and hardly ever asks and when he does he, um, makes it quick.  LOL>

Ha ha ha. Yeah, I can't remember the last time we even had sex. I'm sleeping way before he gets to bed...and our son isn't napping during the day anymore, so there's not really a good opportunity. I totally feel you on the "community service" point. LOL.

YUP!!!  Believe me, my brain still wants it (especially while being advised not to engage in anything for 10 weeks!!) - but my body does not agree.....   :|

Heh.  Good to know this is such a universal. I haven't been even remotely in the mood for months and fortunately DH is so engrossed in home improvement projects that he doesn't care.  We joked last night that we would have sex again when we start trying for kid #2.  Judging from my present libido, that might not be an exaggeration.

I'm having really pretty bad acid reflux if I eat more then a half portion (of my usual size) of anything.. it really sucks, I feel hungry but if I 'overeat' I end up with acid coming into my mouth for an hour or so after the meal.. a few times it came up so strongly it almost felt like i was going to throw up. eyesroll.gif

I have acid reflux if I eat buttered toast. It doesn't seem to matter what I eat anymore. I've also had a few instances of unexpected vomit in my mouth from it. It sucks. I had it last time as well and I'm doing everything I can to combat it this time...I think it's just what happens to me when I'm pregnant.

I had some OJ before bed the other night...woke up at about 2 with acid reflux choking me like throw up.  Not cool.  However, I found some really awesome acid reducers here called actifast.  and they aint joking.  I have sensory issues and it's super hard to get them down...it's like chalk.  But it lasts forever.

My sister brought me some TUMS from the US and I have been taking one or two of those when its bad, sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. .. the best thing I found is not to eat for a few hours before bed but they I tend to wake up super hungry.

Yes! I've noticed this too. Not a fan and the 3 day road trip did not help! irked.gif

Same here! The disconnect is a bit frustrating. I chatted w some GF's who had babies last year about it which was no help. They all reported amazing sex lives during their pregnancies. Lucky ladies but no help for my ego.

We've been so busy lately that I barely noticed how much time has passed! Its a bit disconcerting. The desire is there but its been so long that I'm a bit self concious about initiating and having a bad experience.

For me, sex was pretty much last on my list of things I wanted to do before I got pregnant.  So now doing it while pg it really feels like a chore.  I feel bad, but there really are probably twenty other things I'd rather do.  It doesn't help that J is very...equal opportunity, I guess you could say.  He doesn't like to do it unless I enjoy it too, so there's extra pressure.
