Anyone up for an Alfie Kohn book club?

I'm re-reading Unconditional Parenting, and find it, as always, quite challenging.  A few years ago, someone suggested going through chapter by chapter together, but it petered out after the first week or two.

I was hoping maybe we could try again?  I really value the opinions of many on here, and would love to get your perspective as I read.

Hakeber?  NellieKatz? LynnS?  memee?  There are so many more whose posts I seek, so don't feel left out if I didn't name you.

I'm in the middle of reading it for the first time. I don't get to post on MDC that often due to busy life stuff but I would be interested in discussing it. DH is reading it at the same time as me, although I'm a little ahead of him at this point.

A lot of the stuff he talks about really resonates with me. But I agree that sometimes it's challenging - not necessarily to understand but then to think about implementing. I also find myself feeling a bit vulnerable reading it as I have been recognizing in his descriptions of what conditional parenting looks like that that's how my own parents raised me... so dealing with sorting through some of my own emotional stuff while trying to sort out how to apply UP in everyday life.

I actually came on here just now to ask a question about how to apply UP principles to a particular nap time struggle I'm having now so this is very timely!
