Hello! I am a student at Middlesex comm college and an aspiring midwife(/doula/ ibclc/ cbe, etc). I'm writing a paper for sociology about midwives, and how gender and class stratification throughout history affected the practice of midwifery, specifically how midwives continue to get pushed to the side by the medical establishment. I need to do some "field work" and I'd like to shadow a midwife or doula to ask some questions and such. Even if I was just shadowing on a prenatal, although a birth would be amazing obviously! The paper is due very soon, so I would have to do this within the next week, and I have looked into other options without success. Thank you for any help you can offer!!!!
