Early Pregnancy Worries...

Well, had some spotting this afternoon, mostly brown, a touch of pink and mucusy. I fully know things can go either way. There's not much else I can do. I am on Prometrium and take my vitamins. So I guess I sit tight like the rest of us and wish we were all out of the first trimester. Ugh.

Spotting is always scary, even if it's normal. I had two episodes of spotting in one of my pregnancies, and my DD is beautiful. Put your feet up, drink a lot of water, and take care of yourself. (((hugs)))

Brown blood is old blood. There could be many causes. Old implantation blood finally leaking out, if you had sex any time in the past week or a pap smear/internal check it could have irritated your cervix and caused bleeding as it is currently quite engorged, a little strenuous exercise could also irritate the cervix causing a little bleeding (again, not necessarily bad), bleeding from your luteal cyst irritating it's surroundings (not sure how likely this is but it's a cause I found when looking this up)

I wouldn't worry about a little brown blood, even with a bit of pink. :)

Now... if it changes, becomes more red/fresh/clotty, larger amounts, whatnot... then I'd worry and get checked out.

Thanks for the reassurance. It probably is nothing. Nothing since then, and I did have a bit of a BM after a few, ahem, hard days redface.gif

So hopefully that is it. I had tons of bleeding in healthy pregnancies and no bleeding in pregnancies with bad outcomes, so it's all up in the air. I just hate these beginning weeks.

Oh yes, THAT can irritate your cervix as well! As long as you don't get any more, that is what probably caused it!

Well, spotting again tonight. And it just occurred to me that the prometrium suppositories could be causing the issue. I hope that's all it is. I have an u/s scheduled for Monday, and it can't come soon enough. On the up side, I'm pretty darn sick with m/s, so that's a good sign.
