OK since I had some pain issues followed by some what they called "low levels" and had to have them checked with ultrasound and blood work. The last ultrasound I had was 2 weeks ago @ 5w4d with a perfect gestational sac and a lil round yolk sac inside. They also found a subchorionic bleed. I guess this can be from implantation. I have not had any spotting and was feeling very pregnant but the doc wanted a repeat ultrasound to check for dates and check on the bleed. Fast forward to yesterday @ 7w4d and we saw a MUCH larger gestational sac, with a lil bean bigger than its yolk sac and a strong 152bpm. The bleed was also down to only 1/3 of how big it was, so my body is absorbing the implantation blood.  So below is our lil bean.....

We had decided to tell everyone (extended family and friends) with a picture we had taken at the desert once we saw the heartbeat. With the prior miscarriages I have had they were all before 8w and I never saw a heartbeat so I feel ok with spreading the news....Here is the picture we took and shared even on the FB world!

We had also recorded the moment when we told our 4 lil munchkins they were going to have a sibling, I did some editing (not very good) and shared that as well. Some of the responses are classic, so glad I recorded this!

Just figured we could all share how we spread the news and maybe give some ideas to some that have yet to share!

Darn hormones. I totally cried. Your son is so sweet. I love the picture you made too. How precious.
I think I'll video the moment we tell the kids too, thanks for the idea!

Awwwe how adorable!! I love the video and pic! Your kids are so excited <3

We showed our kids the u/s pic and asked if anyone remembered what kind of picture this was. My son said "That's from the baby doctor.". This is #6, so I figured someone would remember, lol! And my oldest dd (7) said "So that means there's gonna be MORE crying?!". yay!

We're planning to tell the kids and most of my family at the same time (by having my kids open a gift of the book Berenstain Bears Baby Makes Five). There is usually someone with a video camera, but I have to try not to be too suspicious to make sure they are filming the right moment! So glad you mentioned so I can be thinking about it.

How awesome!  I want to tell my girls so bad, but we are keeping it a secret from our family for as long as we can.  They probably aren't going to be happy for us.  They've stated several times that they think 2 is plenty for us.  I'm trying to keep things positive, so I don't want to hear their comments about it yet.  I don't like defending myself when it comes to being blessed with a child.  But, I do love what you've done here.  I can't wait until I tell my girls.  I'm starting to show, so it won't be long. :)

You know I was really expecting a HUGE negative response. Being that this will be #5 for us we got enough comments when #4 was born. People would say "wow don't you have a TV" or "was this an accident". SO I have seriously surprised with the "couldn't happen to a better mom" or "so excited for your whole family" so maybe your family will be happy. I read somewhere that when telling people your pregnant people will respond the way you tell them. So if you sound WAY happy and super excited that you have some great news maybe their response will be a better than expected response for you as well?!?

I think that was the SINGLE best part of the ENTIRE clip....my son is 10 and amazes me with his thoughts each day. We are originally from California and there having more than 2 people were like WOW you have a ton of kids...lol

Very cute!  My 2 year old was there when we peed on the stick for the definitive digital one, and he totally knew what was happening and was so excited!
