Hi all!

I am new to this group. My EDD is sometime between July 8 - 21, though I believe closer to the 21st :). This is pregnancy number 2 for us, we have a daughter who will be 2 in April.

My heart is set on having a home birth so I am looking forward to browsing around this site, reading, and becoming informed. I haven an interview appointment with one midwife at the end of December and an appointment with a docotor next week. Though I really want a home birth I haven't completely settled on one yet. I just need to do more reading :)

I've done both hospital and home birth and both can certainly be wonderful. With my DD1 I didn't even have an IV or anything, just got into the hospital, birthed a couple hours and then had her. 

However, after having a home birth I am certainly partial to them for myself now. It was pretty much the same as my birth with DD1 only I didn't have to deal with a car ride there or back and I was able to sleep in my own bed afterward LOL.

Whatever you choose, know you are making the right decision for YOU and your baby, simply by informing yourself of your choices before you choose.
