Had first appointment with M.D. in group. Approx 23 weeks...they have my due date as 3 different dates: 7/9, 7/10 and 7/13. It doesn't really matter especially since they are all later than my LMP date of 7/5.
I really liked the doctor. She was very prompt.
Measured to 23 weeks.
Baby's heartrate was 169.
They said BP was good...but didn't say what it was.
My weight was 1lb less than on Monday when I weighed myself. Not significant. They don't really care about the weight and didn't even mention it. My last M.D. was not ever truly concerned, but made a point to mention my gains which was annoying.
We talked about thyroid checking, she said if I wanted, I could do it at my next appt when I am having the Glucola test. (I feel no need to decline test.)
DH did all this research and called a college friend who works at the Mayo Clinic and is very concerned about everything. I think he is just hoping something will fix my libido!
She said my AFP screening came back where I have a 1/10,000 risk for baby with spina bifida.
My sonogram info was all good. Anterior placenta but high.
She believes the baby was lying with head down toward my right side, and back facing out. I think that's anterior. (I have been feeling movement EVERYWHERE.)
I think DH will come to next appointment. I am meeting another new doc. She was an army doctor who worked with women in Afghanistan. That impresses him. (He is not military.)
All practitioners are fully supportive of VBAC, like it's a non-issue. (Which is exactly what it should be.)
