Appointment check-ins! - Page 18

1 cm dilated and 40% effaced.  going in for 37 week appointment on monday.  Good luck to everyone!!!!

40wk, 2cm. baby was sleepy during nst so they had me drink juice and stay on longer. Movement picked up a bit after that, enough to go home.

Next week if she isn't here by wed. I get nst, us, and my ob visit plus discuss when to induce if she is not showing signs of coming. Really hope it does not come to that. OB is okay going to 42 as long as baby is okay.

eta..50% effaced.

I wish my dr had said how much I was effaced...  I was 1 cm last Thursday, and I know there's been progress since then.

Fruitfulmomma, are you doing anything else to get things going?  Did you see the labor-inducing eggplant parmiagiana recipe?  LOL.  Tomorrow's the full moon -- eat some eggplant, go for a long moonlit walk, then come home and do what got baby in there -- the best way to get 'em back out!  ;)

Yeah, waiting on hubby to get home but other than that nothing really at this point. BTDT with my 4 other girls and mostly it did not do much of anything for me.If we do get to next week I might ask her to strip me and get some herbs going since that would be preferable to pit or whatever.

This is the first time we've done us early enough to get a fairly reliable date rather than basing it off my long (and totally erratic this time) cycles so I am hopeful for her coming in good timing.

If it makes you feel any better, my third was 11 days after my due date.  The waiting is no fun. :/  But if you tend to have longer cycles, it's totally normal to have a longer gestational period as well, regardless of conception date.

Had a good appointment tonight...  Baby is fine, heartrate was 136.  The only thing that was abnormal was that the little bugger is now posterior!  Boooooo...  He/she has always been anterior before.  :-p  I'm going to work on positioning over the next several days and try to get him/her back the other way.  I felt like something was different in there...  I just felt tighter in the stomach all the way around.  Guess it was chubby legs and elbows stretching out!

Aw, man! greensad.gif Turn around, little baby.

I'm worried mine is posterior too. The movement has felt different the last couple of days.

Mine too! Same thing... Anterior for the longest time and then she flipped around sometime a few a few days ago.

38+6 appt. today. HR about 140, she could feel the head low in my pelvis and said the baby's back seemed to be along my right side. But then she found the heartbeat more on the lower left side? I was confused and failed to ask about it, so now I'm worried she's transverse or something. We'll see, I guess. The MW didn't really comment or seem concerned about it.

My BP was actually 122/70 in the office (the nurse took it with the manual meter). I'll take it! I'm still feeling good other than having a harder time sleeping. This is my least favorite summer ever in terms of weather. It is horrible. Our a/c units at home can't keep up. It could be below zero for the rest of my life and I would never complain after a few weeks of this crap.

Other than that, we asked some questions about hospital logistics, procedures, GBS stuff, etc. I am feeling like we are starting to understand the big picture a little better. I guess that's a good thing since LO could arrive any time!

Hmm..I am not great on positioning but we are consistantly getting hr on lower left and she is definitely head down. When we did her bpp a few weeks ago she was roa and we had gotten her hr on the monitor just a few minutes before that and it was on the left.

Hmm... OK... that is pretty helpful, actually. Maybe I need to google some pics of full-term babies in the womb so I can see how everything lines up. Maybe she is more curled up than I think. Thanks!

We've also had the same- baby is definitely head down and along my right side but heartbeat was stronger to left. I just assumed it had to do with her being head down but moving side to side and turning a bit (as evidenced by the posterior/anterior flip). While I had to be in the hospital for monitoring a few weeks ago she started on the right side then we felt her shift to the center to get away from the monitor.

Yesterday was my final perinatologist appointment, today was the last OB appointment. Blood sugars have been a bit wonky (highs and lows) and my BP has been high but no other signs of preeclampsia so I think a lot of it is just the heat, which has been making me really uncomfortable. Baby still looking very healthy and happy, still very high. I'm at just 2 cm. She tried to strip my membranes but had a hard time because you normally have to be at a full 2 and I was not completely there yet, and my cervix is tricky to reach so they always have trouble with it. Unless some magic happens, I'll be checking in for the cervidil on Thursday night, pitocin bright and early Friday morning. I really hope some magic happens, but I'm losing hope. Baby seems quite content where she's at. But tonight is the eggplant parm(!) and saving leftovers for tomorrow, too. After dinner a walk, some accupressure, and some sexy time under the full moon. Might have to get out the breast pump and try that, too.

Had a home visit today, and my midwife mapped my belly: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=4274718465720&l=1efd296b74  joy.gif

BP is good, heartrate 145.  This midwife seemed to think baby would be in the 7 lb range when he makes his appearance.

That really is adorable smile.gif you look very happy!

No avoiding the induction. We're here at the hospital, all checked in and waiting for the cervidil and pitocin in the morning. A fair amount of contractions today but nothing regular, so here we go. A little sad about it, but it is what it is. The goal is healthy baby, healthy mama and that's what I have to tell myself. Never thought we'd have this little one or that I'd have another pregnancy. I need to be thankful for the little things and remember the big picture! So tomorrow I'll be holding her in my arms! joy.gif

Best wishes to lbkw tomorrow, too!

Tolovemercy - so super cute!!!  :)  I'm tempted to map my baby as well.  I think he/she is now ROT.  I'm trying not to worry too much about it, hopefully baby will figure out a good position before labor starts.

Shinyredstar- I will be thinking of you tonight and tomorrow...  I am sure that everything will go well and that you'll be snuggling your sweet baby very soon!

Lbkw- if you're reading these, I'm thinking of you, too!!!  I hope that you have a great birth experience tomorrow and that everything goes very smoothly and easily.  Can't wait to see pics of the little one!!!!
