Used/Homemade Doll Clothes & Accessories

Thread Starter

DD has three dolls: a Berenguer 14" baby doll, a Kathy Kruse It's Me, Too! 18" doll, and a Cabbage Patch doll.

She would like clothes/accessories for her dolls (including a high chair and ring sling) so I am looking for used doll clothes, etc for the above 'sizes'. Any other option besides ebay?

Trying to make it a Frugal Christmas this year, hoping this is the right thread to post it in!

Craigslist, the thrift store, garage sales,  all can be hit or miss but you can get some super deals.

For clothing I have had more luck with prem/early baby sized stuff then those designed for dolls. I think my kids dolls are 16 inches and most of the clothes we have are up to 7lb size. Some are a little large round the nappy area but my kids find them a lot easier to get on and off than the doll clothes we have.

I got most of ours from local nearly new sales, I found ebay tended to be big lots of stuff which was more than I wanted.

A ring sling is pretty easy to make, and rings should be easy to get and the craft store. If you are not a sewer then you could probably even use a fabric like fleace which wouldn't fray and you would only have to sew on the rings.
