Benefits with each month of breastfeeding?

Is there any good links to the benefits of breastfeeding protection? If a person breastfeed for 2 months or 4 months only would that child have benefits in the future to illness or allergies?

I don't have a link to send you to at the moment, but I believe it takes at least 6 months of only breast milk to "seal" the permeable gut wall in an infant.  I'll try to come back with a link.
