Choosing between Goldie Parker & Eileen Denomme... help!

My husband and I have now met with a few midwives, and loved both Goldie Parker and Eileen Denomme.  They were both great, and I'm sure we'd get wonderful care with either one, but we have to choose!  

I'm hoping some of you out there will be able to share what you liked or didn't about either of these women to help us out.

Also, does anyone recommend a HB-friendly backup OB who practices through Henry Ford Macomb?

I know Eileen through doulaing communities and she seems very sweet, well organized, and up to date on all of the latest care. I think she'd be a great midwife. Just thought I'd share that.

Kate Mazzara is wonderful!  I've worked with her through a birth organization and interviewed with her.  I also have several friends who have delivered with her and rave about her expertise, wisdom, and love.  I haven't worked with either Eileen or Goldie, so I can't give you any recommendations in that direction.  Good luck!

I had the same tough decision to make last year and I chose Eileen. She was great and I'm glad I made the decision We did. I love Goldie, too but I liked that Eileen had more numbers and stats to show me. Eileen was closer and I already had a relationship established with her. I know a lot of people who fit better with Goldie. She really is super. God luck!
