Positive test??

I'm wondering if someone can take a look at my test from this AM before I get carried away? The top test was from this morning; the bottom test was from two days ago. http://www.canyouseealine.com/view_home_pregnancy_test.php?testID=15596

Oh, and how long do folks usually wait until they call the professionals to get a really positive reading??

We are TTC baby #1 and haven't gotten this far yet. stillheart.gif

Thanks!

Definitely a positive test!!  Congrats mama!! joy.gif

That's a loaded question.  You could start looking for a mw or ob now, but your + test is as good as theirs would be.  Usually you won't be seen until about 8 weeks into the pg.

Lots of luck, and H&H 9 months!!

Hi Willovia!  Welcome to MDC!!!   wave.gif

I don't think there is any question that you have a positive test!  A line is a line and that line is not even a squinter!   Congrats!!  joy.gif   It can be reassuring to test again after AF was due.  Personally, I would wait for a few weeks before going into a a care provider.  Unless an issue arises, there is really no reason to make an appointment at this point and in fact many practices don't ask to see you until 8-10 weeks into the pregnancy.  Of course, that being said, if you have issues you need to discuss, feel an intense need to get a blood test now, are having any concerning symptoms, or live in an area where coveted practices fill up then definitely call.  The care provider you choose should be there for you at every step of the way.  If you do not get a reassuring response from a care provider then consider that they are not right for you.  And always keep in mind that you can change practices at just about any point in your pregnancy.  Also, I highly recommend taking this time to start researching what you want- pregnancy care wise and birth wise.  The provider you choose will largely determine the experience you have.   Some important things to look into are prenatal testing, induction protocols, and birth environment.  Inform yourself, know what you want and don't get bullied into things you do not want.  HH9!!  And join your due date club social group for intimate support and camaraderie during this special time!

Thank you guys!

I have researched a lot about the type of birth, the provider I want, and where I'd like to birth, but I just had no clue on the timing of getting these things set up. 8 weeks feels like such a long time to wait! I did call the mw group I hope to use and they said typically 8-12 weeks for the first appointment. So, we might go in for a tour of their facility first and schedule our first appt at that time.

If I'm 2 weeks approximately so far, that would make me August 2012? Fun stuff.

Thank you again!

Here's an easy way to calculate your due date... going by day of conception is always best, but if you don't know it you can enter your LMP instead: http://www.justmommies.com/duedate.shtml.
