Nursing Mamas TTC -- December - Page 2

I had a crazy wave of nausea and almost passed out tonight! It was so exciting! lol I've also been having lots of cramping/pinching on and off all day. Of course, it's likely just the progesterone but it's still exciting ;)

Carmen: That sounds kinda scary! Hopefully that means it is working though!

AFM: I guess i no longer belong over here. greensad.gif I am just starting to wean (which i am doing cold turkey for my own emotional sake). My son seems pretty okay with it. I think i am taking it WAY harder than him. We had our "last nursing" last night and i bawled and bawled and bawled but it's been 8 months TTC and i am ready to start something new. No doctor around here will take me seriously until i wean. One of those weighing the pros and cons and weaning wins. Luckily, my little guy still cuddles and gives me loves like before, so i think it will all be okay!

So i am hoping now for a BFP at some point. And looking forward to another baby and nursing again! Maybe next time i can go til 2 years at least again! Thank you all for your support and best of luck!

Sending you all dust.gif And wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Kelantan - Hugs to you!  Just so you know - my DD weaned in September and I am still hanging out here and it is still great support, so don't feel like you have to leave!!

Kelantan - I hope you're able to get pregnant SOON! Please don't feel you have to leave; we'd still love to have you.

AFM - Well, the saliva scope I ordered the other day may get here too late. I've started to get a faint line on my OPK, so it's looking like I may O a whole week earlier this cycle! Woohoo!! joy.gif

Holy moly, I am spotting on 9dpo!  At airport, but I will be home in a few hours to test.  I'll let you girls know what the hpt says!

Starlight: Thanks for the insight on the Vitex. I'd be interested if you decide to take it again this time around.

AFM: I've started on Vitex to see if it helps to bring my cycles back. I'll keep y'all posted on how it goes. My fingers are crossed for dropping an egg soon!

Oh really? I can stay!joy.gif Then i will! I love talking to all of you and going through this together. My darling husband is a saint, but he just doesn't completely get it. :)

Basic update then: CD 2 (blah!) 8 month TTC, 6 PPAF, ds 16 months.  Just in the weaning time. My son is still doing great. He was willing to settle for cuddles and no milk. We had a beautiful final nursing last night and it gave me a sense of peace. This is so not easy {i'm sure you all know} but i am hopeful for the future...whatever it holds. I'm still just the luckiest Momma. I have to remind myself that sometimes.

Off to relax and sleep... i've been hit by a terrible cold! Sicknesses are my least favorite thing about winter!

carmen358 - You are too funny! I'm not sure how excited I'd be to be nauseated. LOL I hope it's a good sign!

kelantan - Yay! I'm so happy you're going to stick around. And I'm also glad you are finding peace with your decision and it sounds like DS is taking it well. What a sweety!

gardenelle - So....did you do the HPT?? Sheepish.gif

AFM - Today is shaping up to be a pretty awesome day. I set the alarm early to get online and get a free Victoria Secret gift card from their FB page. It took me half an hour of reloading, but I did get a $10 card. Yay! Before I even got my computer on, DH came home with a peppermint mocha, so that was certainly a plus. Then I got a positive OPK!! Yay! That means I'm hopefully gonna ovulate a whole week earlier than last cycle! I'm just hoping that means my LP will be longer than 7 days this time. I'm so excited!!! joy.gif

Thanks, starrlight!

I'm 9DPO but I'm not very hopeful since I've been having cramps on and off since yesterday.  My LP has mostly been around 8 days since AF returned this time.  It was around 9 days when we conceived DD, so even though it's definitely on the short side, I wasn't too worried at first.  I was taking 100-200mg of B6 to help lengthen it this time, but then I read on Kellymom that the max for nursing is 25mg, so I stopped.  Of course that month we had great timing and then I had a 7 day LP. banghead.gif So I was so mad and disappointed that we took the next month off, and of course then I had a 10 day LP.  That was last month, so I don't know if it's going to stay longer or what yet.  But like I said, I suspect I'll be seeing AF tonight or tomorrow. :(

Good Morning!

Well, I took this month off from the group. And it worked. 11 DPO and very faint, but there, second line. I'm cautiously hopeful.

Also, I gagged at a funny smell in the pet food aisle at Costco the other day. I don't have a sensitive nose or weak stomach and *knew* that had to be it. :D

Geigerin- Congrats! Hooray! So excited for you.

Congratulations!! Happy and healthy 9 months to you joy.gif

Geigerin - Congrats!!!

Starrlight - Yayyyy!!!

Kelantin - Glad to read things are going smoothly with weaning your DS. I am often worried about when we finally night wean 23 mon DD. We are waiting until her incisors come in as she's having a particularly hard time w/ them and has always nursed extra for teething pain.

AFM, totally fine from the tampon incident, thank goodness. I think i may have O'd yesterday, because i have a really big temp spike today at CD14. I usually O on CD 14, so we'll see in a couple of days where FF puts my crosshairs. I didn't have opks this month, and we could only DTD Tuesday night, which could work in our favour if i did in fact O yesterday! Here's hoping!

joy.gifjoy.gifjoy.gifjoy.gifYay! Congrats Geigerin! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!

Starrlight, sounds like a great start to the day!

Mittens, glad there were no ill effects, and fingers crossed your Oing and BDing lined up!

GardenBelle, Any results? shy.gif

Kelentan, yes, please stick around. I think there are a bunch of us who are not far away from weaning, so lots of people in the same boat!

Amy, glad your Luteal Phase seems to be getting longer, but I hope AF stays away and that cramping was actually implantation!

AFM, I have no expectations for this cycle. Other than some very mild cramping and the fact that DD's nursing is driving me out of my mind, I don't even have anything that can be mistaken for a symptom. I'll probably get a temp drop Saturday and have AF show up Sunday. I'm only planning to test if my temperature is still HIGH on Monday, assuming AF stays away!

Thanks!  I didn't remember having implantation cramping with DD, but I went back last night and looked at my chart for the cycle I got pregnant with her and apparently I did, starting at 8DPO.  BFN this morning at 10DPO, but that's not really a surprise either way.

Hi Everyone,

I've been hopeful that my three days of spotting last month were a period and that my fertility is returning.  I've been taking OPKs starting CD 10 but so far no luck (I'm CD 15 today).  I've been temping as well, but my temps are erratic due to different wake times and having a cold last week.  I am just really praying that my cycles will regulate so I won't have to feel pressured to wean my daughter.  We are still both really enjoying our 3 daily nursing sessions.  It's such an awful dilemma to have, isn't it???

On another note, I tried to introduce a cup of cow's milk to her and she won't  have anything to do with it!  Anyone have any tips???

jj1107 - Is there a possibilty that you are pregnant and that is what the spotting was from?  My DD (will be 3 in February) NEVER liked any milk alternatives.  She does use almond milk in her cereal and will have a cup of almond milk every so often.  But, don't feel like DD has to drink some mik product to replace breastmilk.  As long as they are getting a balanced diet drinking milk is not a dietary requirement :)

AFM - CD7, so just hanging out waiting for O.  Taking homeopathic progesterone this month, so hopefully that does the trick.

So, lucky me. AF showed up 2 days early this morning. Please move me back to waiting to O. irked.gif

Carlin - sorry AF showed up...at least it didn't tease you by being late :/

Carlin - Sorry to hear that. :(
