Hi everyone, I am Kori from Idaho. I am the mother of five, the oldest being 19 and my youngest three months. I also have a granddaughter a year older than my newest baby! I have just become a stay-at-home mom for the first time, by choice; our baby is not a "special needs" baby but is a high-needs baby (according to Dr. Sears, haha), and she had a horrible time adjusting to daycare, hating the bottle with a passion and then nursing until she was sick every night. She is also a crier, and doesn't sleep much.
I am hoping to make some connections with like-minded parents. We do practice attachment parenting, co-sleeping, and support (and practice long-term breastfeeding. I nursed my five year old until he self-weaned at 15 months, even while working full time. I have a natural tendency toward solitude, and most women I know with an infant are considerable younger than me (I am almost 40),so I worry that by staying at home I might become something of a hermit.
At any rate, I hope to get to know some of you, and am so glad to find this forum!
