Are we doing DDC buddies? « Back to Group Discussions

With DS, we had DDC buddies, so that when we went into labor there was someone who could update the group rather than coming onto MDC to do it yourself (or asking your DP to do it).  We were each paired up, someone with a due date in the beginning of the month would be paired with someone at the end of the month, and a FTM would be paired with a repeat mama.  And I believe we tried to keep pairs in the same geographical area. 

I know some of us exchanged email addresses and some of us exchanged phone numbers so we could keep in touch.  Is there any interest in DDC buddies?

I don't have the first idea how to organize this and we didn't do it in my Ddc last time, but I am sort of loving this idea.
Anyone else?

I have no interest in updating anyone when I'm in labour... is that bad? I was in a group that was doing this with my first and everyone was freaking out when I said, "I'm definitely in labour" and then didn't update again until more than 24hrs later! When I'm in labour I can't think of anything like updating people, and after the baby is born I don't have the energy for the next little while. So I wouldn't sign up.

I know a lot of other people love being able to do those constant updates, so it's probablly a good idea!

I totally think that if you are interested in having a due date buddy for the DDC that you do it!

I dunno how much I will remember when I am in labor but I am down to give it a shot!  I am a FTM due may 14
