Not being able to pee sounds scary, I hope it doesn't happen again. 

Every sex prediction test I've done so far has said girl, which has been my instinct so far.  I've only done a few so far.  I am excited to try the ring on a string, but I'm waiting until I have more of a bump.  Just for fun.

I tried the baking soda predictor this morning and it was clearly "girl" The Chinese calendar predictor said girl too. The ring test was inconclusive. We should start a gender prediction thread and update it as we find out! I'll be interested to see how accurate the various tricks or intuitions are!

We heard the heartbeat!  I had a hard time understanding why it was such a big deal.  Until I heard it.  I can't believe there's actually something growing in there; I was starting to believe I'd just made the whole thing up in my head.  Wow.  It really hadn't hit me that I"m actually pregnant until I heard it's little heart beating.  Even though the whole thing still seems a little surreal.  I can't wait until I start feeling baby move that's going to be fun.

Been MIA due to internet issues. Back though.

Still sick, not as bad. Turns out stress makes it worse so once Christmas hit it let up a LOT.

SPD is hurting like crazy and I'm already in the darn support belt because if I don't it will just get worse faster.

Cannot wait for winter break to be over, these big kids need to be out of the house so mommy and Mae can get naps again!

I got my doppler from e-bay, ande God knows how long it'd been sititng on my desk becauase I've been braindead and lazy and haven't gone through my mail.  :/  One of the kids must have brought it in and I just didn'tnotice, lol.  So, we played around with it last night and this morning and finally heard our little one's heartbeat!!!    It was 160-ish, so my mother is convinced it's a girl.  For obvious reasons (listed in my sig), my poor son really, really wants a brother.  Of course I'm ok with either one, but it'd be pretty funny to have 7 girls and 1 lonely boy, lol. 

I'm so happy! 

ETA: My aunt (an obstretric and pediatric nurse practitioner) palpated my uterus and said I feel about 13-14 weeks, and I think I'm 12, so that was cool too.  :)  (I am SO BAD at palpating myself, I can't feel *anything*.)

That's so exciting.  When we heard the heartbeat it was 160 which, even though it's unreliable, just convinced me even more that we're having a girl.  

I haven't been able to feel my uterus at all yet!  I started feeling around as soon as I knew I was pregnant, just so I could notice a change.  Nothing so far.  The midwife had no problem finding it, but she's had more practice then I've had.  

DH and I still have no plans for NYE and it's making me feel like a pregnant loser.  Of course if I manage to stay up past midnight that will be a miracle at this point, so leaving the house isn't my favorite idea.  We'll probably get some sparkling cider and hang out at home this year.  

Dose anyone have a New years resolution this year?  My favorite from previous years was when I resolved to live more authentically (that was the year I met DH  ).  This year I haven't been able to come up with anything, which is a first for me.  I've always had a resolution in some form.

Last year I resolved to lose 40 pounds and did.

This year, I resolve to weigh under 200 by next New Years, which means eating healthy and staying active all pregnancy so I don't gain a ton, and then working my butt off afterwards to drop the last bit necessary (it SHOULD give me time, I'm just over 200 right now, so as long as I don't gain too much, I should have the ability to drop it without a lot of trouble)

Tonight we are staying home with the kids and playing board games. We went out to the park for a picnic (just got home from that!) and were playing in just t-shirts. I miss living back home sometimes, but when I can be outside on New Years Eve in just a t-shirt? Not so much.
