It's Beginning to Look A Lot like Bajingo Juice - TTC #1 in our 30's - December 2011 - Page 8

PS. I take the smallest dose I could find of the B's. 50 mg of B6 and 150 of B12. I was afraid to go nutty on all of them (my prenatal has 800 mg of folic acid already so I was nervous) but for my next bottles... I'll def be buying a regular B complex. A good one! I look long and hard to find good vitamins that are plant based with no crap in them like fillers, etc.

Hooray LakeRuby!  joy.gif

EricaF - congrats on your year! I stalked your chart and it is looking good.  How are you feeling?

Pitch - I hear ya on going to a Fertility Specialist.  I wish I hadn't waited so long.  :(

AFM - I've been avoiding the medical "next steps" for a while in lieu of vitamins/acupuncture/etc.   Well I just had an HSG revealing both of my tubes are blocked.  Oh well.   I guess this explains 21 cycles of no BFP.

So PUH, how can you get the tubes unblocked?  Is it possible?

Erica, thanks for the encouragement.  Just have to wait and see how this cycle goes.  CD11 here.

Congratulations on the bfp, lakeruby!!  Hope you'll be joining the August due date club and bajingo juice grads!

Ugh, I was so rooting for you, Pitchhug.gif I hope that Boots's experience helps you feel comfortable heading to a specialist. I am sure they will be serious and aggressive!

Doularebekah, sounds like you're fertile! I hope this cycle goes well!!

So happy about your great chart, Ericaf! We need more bajingoers in the due date clubs :) and I have a feeling there will be more soon! Your chart is fantastic!

PUH, I am sorry about your tubes. hug2.gifI hope you are able to find expedient help. Is IVF a possibility for you and dh?

Lilac, I hope that this is a great month for you with your new meds!

Things are fine here. Anxiously awaiting my u/s on Jan 5.  Please keep your fingers crossed, ladies, that this bean is growing healthy and strong. 6 w tomorrow!

I know it's almost the end of the month, but I might as well join in here.  32yrs old and we're TTC #1.  We started trying in Nov after having my IUD removed, but I haven't ovulated yet (but should any day now-CD55 currently).  I'll be keeping my fingers crossed through the holidays that New Years bring a BFP my way.

Yay Ruby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's like the best Christmas present ever joy.gif

Welcome nemrac917! I hope your stay here is short. There are lots of BFPs lately.

EXCUSEEEEEEE MEEEEEEEEEEEEE WORLDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!

GUESS who just got a BFP?!?!?!?! joy.gif I'm going to die of a heart attack! I thought for SURE this month wasn't going to be my month. I don't know why, I just had it in my head next month was our month. Granted it's only 11DPO for me and it's faint, but WHATEVER!!!! BFP Merry Christmas to meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Now I really REALLY want my CD22 tests back this very second because if my progesterone is/was low, she can prescribe me some to help this little love bug stick! However, my temps have been slowly steadily rising my whole LP so far. Went up to 98.6 this am which it's never been that high since I've been charting. I feel like I'm going to explode! My heart is going to flat out explode! And I'm going to throw up everywhere! biggrinbounce.gif

Nemrac917 I hope you ovulate soon! With all that ewcm it looks like your body really wants to.

How are you doing, Dana?

Woohoo, Ericafjoy.gif!  What a wonderful gift for you, and it must be so meaningful having just celebrated one year cancer free ribbonpink.gif.  Take great care of yourself and head over to the due date clubs!

Erica - biggrinbounce.giflove.gif - Yay! This thread has been crazy this month!    Who else is still in the running?

AFM - I have to go for a laproscopy to see if things can be unblocked.   If not, we won't go for IVF, we are pursuing adoption from foster care.  Our insurance doesn't cover IVF at all which realistically means a price tag above 20K since I would have to pay for every blood test, prescription, ultrasound, dr's visit and the IVF procedure all out of pocket.  My coworker just did one successful round and it was almost 40K.  She's preggo with twins.  IVF only has about a 50% success rate.  I know another woman who has done two rounds unsuccessfully.  Maybe in a few years, I will reassess or get better insurance.  But for now, we are going with fost/adopt.  That venue certainly brings its share of heartache as well but it is one that makes sense to me.

Woohoo, Lakeruby and Erica! This HAS been a super lucky month. joy.gif

Erica, Re: B-vits, I will try to take some of my b-complex although I don't think it's a very good one, just from CVS or whatever, I will take anything. I need to start on Omegas again, too, as my little bean is growing a brain, I was just feeling like they might've been upsetting my tum. What I thought was m/s yesterday probably was not, huz was also down with a bug. Sigh. I know it's probably not anything to be worried about, not having m/s (yet, knock on wood) , but yeah. Someone told me pregnancy is good worry-prep for motherhood.

PoorUglyHappy, you are awesome for considering foster and adoption. I considered it too, because I knew our insurance wouldn't pay for IVF, and yeah, the odds kind of suck. If you can invest that money and energy into adoption or fostering, your odds are much better of having a kiddo. I see a lot of kids in unfortunate situations and I really am happy when great people decide to go for fostering and adoption.

AFM, taking the day off from work, mostly because I really need extra rest and quiet time. I just couldn't face it today. I went to school yesterday feeling crappy and it was a struggle. I just want it to be Friday! Or ultrasound day!

edited to add: Just went to open my B-vits and started dry heaving (ugh, why do they have to have such a strong smell?) so much for not feeling very pregnant today. Emergenc-C has a ton of B-vits and I can stomach it, but I worry about the mega-dose of vitamin C.

Thanks, guys!!

Boots: About the B vitamins... I would def take whatever lowest dose you can find, and def run it by your Dr! I have a CVS bottle of each, but they don't smell like anything? They smell a little citrusy to me, if anything. Wonder if the other B's in your complex make them stinky? And how much C is in Emergenc-C? I just started taking 1000mg of vitamin C. Should I be stopping this? I'm stopping the coQ10 cause I read you shouldn't take that while prego (eeeee!!) unless your Dr says so. My fish oils, I take New Chapter and I LOVE them. I noticed a total difference in myself when I switched from a "whatever" brand to those. For real. No effense, but I'm glad you started dry heaving. Lol. It's a GOOD thing. winky.gif

PUH: Do they know why your tubes are blocked? I think it's awesomeee that you want to explore fostering/adoption. I told my hubs I would be interested in that as well. I was adopted by my stepdad when I was 11... and it's awesome that people are willing to love a kid like that. AWESOME.

AFM: Just scheduled some betas for today and Thursday. Yipeeeeeee some more!

Ericaf - Sweet, congratulations! How wonderful!

PUH - Adoption is a wonderful choice. I hope all works out well for you. It's so sad that medical care is SO expensive. Best of luck.

AFM, I have two friends right now who are (were) TTC and are the same age as me. My beloved friend just started trying last month. She was gaining weight and mood-swingy and thought she was pregnant on the first try, but it turns out she was already pregnant before they even stopped using protection. She's already through her first trimester! WHAT? I am SO happy for her. I have known her husband forever and he is an amazing step-dad and she is so great. My heart could burst. My other friends are lesbians and it hasn't been easy for them. I can't imagine; it's been four months for us and each month is an emotional roller coaster. They've just been trying for a few months but each time they have to jump through hoops. I do hope we get pregnant around the same time so we can support each other. I guess that wasn't all about me, but I am really hoping to have some friends who are walking the same path.

Pitch-- so sorry about AF! I was totally rooting for you this cycle, especially with the symptoms you were experiencing.  Rats!  At least you can enjoy the eggnog this holiday :)  Sending a hug your way!

Wow, FIVE BFPs this month!  Amazing!  Had EWCM on CD12, amazing for me!  Very excited that maybe this thyroid meds are doing positive things for me too!

Wow, five this month for real?? We're def a lucky thread!! Makes me so excited!

TeamViddy: Seriously? That's like an episode of that show "I didn't know I was pregnant!" I don't know how those people don't know! Don't worry about how long it takes... I'm 31 and apparently for my age, the average is 8 months. I never knew that!

lilac: Yey for EWCM!! The thyroid meds must really be working. How amazing is that? Just one little pill can make all the difference in the world. It seriously amazes me.

Congratulations Erica!!!!!!! I'm doing the happy dance for you. Come on baby, stick! energy.gif

PUH I had a friend with blocked tubes and she said it was a very simple procedure. And she got pregnant the next month! It sounds like a fairly easy thing to deal with in this day and age. Good luck!

Andaluza I can't wait to hear about your u/s on the 5th! I can't imagine how exciting that must be.

AFM, I'm CD9 here. I've been getting acupuncture for fertility this last month, which at the very least is super relaxing. She also put me on some Chinese herbs. I have an appt this morning which I'm really looking forward to. DH and I both have Christmas and the 26th off, which are CDs 13 and 14 for me. So I'm hoping for lots of EWCM and BD those days. I SO want this to be my month. I'm hoping to catch all the BFP vibes going around here.

Happy Winter Solstice everyone!

Make that 6 BFP's!!

Hi Ladies, embarrased to admit I've been majorly lurking on this fun thread but havn't chimed in for some reason...but I feel compelled to now because I really like your little community and i wanna piece of it!!

my story in a nutshell, I am 35, have a growing family with my hubby of 12 years , 3 girls who are 7,11 and 13 and suddenly have realized that they are growing up so fast and will be out of this house before I know it and maybe I don't want to be an empty nester in my 40's!! All 3 of my kiddos are baby lovers big time...and I feel like a baby would be such a gift for the whole family in many ways...PLUS I would have babysitters built in :)

OK...so I took my man down with this sudden "desire" about 2 weeks ago but didn't think it would work cause i mostly had creamy cm and barely any ew, soo yesterday (9 dpo) bfn but upon microscopic analysis, of course i could see a shadow after a couple of hours 2whistle.gif

this morning though, no powerful lights and magnifying glass needed...BFP whaaaaaaaaat???  Is this really happening??

1-havnt told hubs yet...this morning he said he liked my hoodie, so I think i will say something like...I hope you like whats growing under it!!

2-i know the number 1 question peeps will blast me with is "was it planned???" (and thinking to themselves- you crazy woman)  to which i have decided to respond...."it planned me love.gif

Thanks for listening, congrats to the other BFP's and to the waiters, big love to you all!

Congrats Rainabow!

I seriously think 6 BFPs has to be a record in one month, and I've been here awhile!

Lilac, yay for bajingo juice! Really hoping the thyroid meds are a step in the right direction for you!

ONE week until my ultrasound where we will hopefully see the heartbeat! Seems like forever!

Lost of dust.giffor TWWs, WTOs, and everyone in between. Our paths to our children seem to take many, many roads, but this thread is a great place to hang around during the journey.
