It's Beginning to Look A Lot like Bajingo Juice - TTC #1 in our 30's - December 2011 - Page 2

Thank you, ladies, for the well wishes and support. I will see my gyn tomorrow and probably have beta/progesterone blood tests and a health check. We are feeling cautious and want to be optimistic about this. Thank you Calycanth, I'm hoping to feel up to joining soon! In the meantime, I'll be lurking all over the place.

The funny thing is, I dug Friday's dollar tree test out of the trash today, and it had a thin pink line on it! I had thrown it away when I went back into the bathroom after about 20 minutes on Fri, and I swear I saw nothing. I guess it's all for the best, since I probably would have been distracted all weekend about it, wondering if it was an evap.

You guys, I am in total, utter and completely shock.

I am so freaking nervous that this isn't going to stick. This was my first clomid cycle. I am not going to go back to my OBGYN who told me that clomid wouldn't work, so I guess I'm calling my RE even though I've only been with them for one month. I'm so worried. Aaah! But happy! This is unreal!

Andaluza, I totally dug the test from yesterday or the day before out of the trash and it had a faint line, too!

Woohoo, bootsjoy.gifjoy.gif This wonderful news! I am so happy for you and dh!!!!! I can totally relate to what you are feeling. I'm trying to focus on right now. I think going to your new RE is a great idea!

Boots! Congratulations! I hope you have a peaceful and restful pregnancy!

BOOTS! Heck yes girl, congrats. I am so happy for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep 'em coming!

Whoa, what an amazing time to come check on the thread! HUGE congratulations to Andaluza and Boots!!! I am so excited for you both and feel pretty honoured to be sharing in this with you both. Sending lots and lots of sticky baby vibes to you both :)

Also Andaluza, thanks for the sweet words. My cross hairs have now gone (can't remember if I said that already, ha) but I'm pretty sure I O'd on CD 8 or 9 due to the thermal shift and lots of ewcm. I do often take it at different times, but only because that's when I wake up! We live with our friends who have a 8 month old and over the past few weeks I've been woken up by him a little earlier than I'd like. This morning I was woken up around 4.15 and probably only slept on and off until I woke up properly and temped at 6ish. I'd love some advice on this - is it more important to be taking my temp at the same time every day OR making sure I have had at least 3 hours sleep beforehand (which means the times might be erratic?)....OR should I take both and then use the temperature corrector?

AFM - I had a small amount of spotting today and a few light cramps, so AF might be just around the corner :( However, if my period does come now I guess it would mean that my initial O date was right which gives me a bit more confidence in being able to read all the signs.

Ugh, you guys, how am I supposed to sleep?
I want to be at the doc ASAP.

WOW!  Two BFPs in one day!  I just logged onto MDC to see the news and saw 17 new posts in this thread and thought "someone must be pregnant!"  So excited to see it is anduluza and boots!  What an excellent Christmas present indeed!  I will be praying both of these pregnancies stick and healthy babies sometime in August will appear!  Yeah!

Boots I hope you can get some sleep, so you can teach those middle school kids without going crazy!

AFM: still feeling a bit nauseous, had a terrible headache this morning and cramping (earlier in the month then I expect).

Hi All! Sorry it's been so long- excited to see a couple BFPs in this new thread- haven't had a chance to look back.  Anyway, CONGRATS Andaluza and BootsValentine and happy belated Turkey Day everyone!

Question for everyone- are any of you on any meds to help in getting pregnant yet with number 1? If so, what type and how long?

Hi! First post here - I am 32 and we just started TTC this month. I am on a week long wait before first pregnancy test (I know it probably won't happen this month though)....

Hottest thread ever! Let's keep those Christmas BFPs coming!

Welcome Hadley! This is a greally supportive group of women, I hope your stay is short!

Well, I am going freaking nuts. I have a beautiful triphasic chart, no spotting, and af is 1 day late. I have peed away tons of money of FRER's and all are a big fat negative!! I know it could be just too early to come up with a positive. I have also been trying to not obsess, but it is not working. Perhaps I miscalculated my O date? Well, time to move on with my day. Have a great day everyone!!

Thanks again, ladies!

I hope you got some sleep, bootswink1.gif

Doularebekah, I have read that you should try to temp at the same time daily, but also ensure you've had 3 hours of sleep beforehand. I guess some people's temps are more finicky than others, though. I set my phone alarm for 5:45, since it was early enough for me not to have been woken up by the cat or dh's alarm clock, but late enough that I was pretty sure that I had been asleep for at least 3 hours. Some people decide that temping isn't worth the stress and bother, but it really does give you great insight into your cycle. I think you should just temp once, otherwise it gets too complicated.

Those sound like great symptoms, lilac!

Erinbriana, welcome back. We were uncertain about whether I was ovulating because of strong midcycle bleeding, so I had gone on bcp from jan-june of this year to suppress o and retune my cycles, then I had a month natural ttc, three months on clomid 50 mg, and this month was natural again. The wonky bleeding stopped when I stopped the bcps, and clomid may have taught my body how to o normally, again (my theory?). I'm interested to see what my gyn says today because she wanted to keep me on clomid for 2 more months before we took a break. I am SO GLAD I followed my instincts!

Welcome hadleymonroe. I hope your stay here is short.

What an amazing chart, Mexilady!! It is early: chapluqa, who was here in my early days on the thread didn't get a bfp until about 17dpo, so hang on.

Andaluza and Boots- horay! Ladies! I am so happy for you! Hoping everything comes out OK.

It's probably been almost a month since I posted last- I guess I've been busy or this just hasn't been on my mind as much. We are on cycle 3 of TTC, and because we BD 1x a week or so I try very, very hard not to put too much energy into hoping things work each cycle. I also replaced my phone which had the really nice cycle tracker on it and then never bought the app again so I have less information built up. Because of this I am not really sure when AF is due but I know it coincides with the full moon. It's coming up fast and I am not particularly tired or feeling any symptoms so I'm not holding my breath.

I did read some things which made me wonder if I have a thyroid issue so I asked to have a blood test during my physical a few weeks ago. Got a call back and found out that my thyroid is slightly off and I am due for an appointment to do further testing in a month or two. I would be slightly surprised if my thyroid levels (and whatever related endocrine issues are going on) are suppressing ovulation but you never know... Since it hasn't been that long since we stopped using protection it would be really amazing to catch a potential issue without even having to wait for months on end to find out there's a problem.

Sending plenty of dust your way! Best of luck ladies!

Yay Boots and Andaluza!    I wonder if Turkey/Stuffing/Sweet Potatoes helps fertility... I might start to eat Thanksgiving dinner once a month around O!  I do know a ton of late August babies.

Welcome Hadley!  I hope you don't have to stick around long!

Mexilady - your chart looks sooooo goood!  goodvibes.gif  Just curious - I know we talked about spotting in another thread, how has your spotting been this cycle?

AFM: no news -  I am 9DPO (I think!) just waiting on AF...  I quit charting because it was making me crazy so I feel blissfully ignorant.

Whoa Boots you too? This thread is LUCKY! Congrats ladies.

Welcome Hadley!

Welcome back Erin and TeamViddy!

AFM - boring.. the wait until my first prenatal appointment is slowly killing me. I won't be graduating until I hear a HB, see a flutter.. something.. so.. I wait. In the meantime - I'm enjoying all the new BFPs in this thread.. Sending preggy lady dust to the rest of you ladies - this is CLEARLY the lucky thread! goodvibes.gif And if being preggers rubs off... then this is the place to get the RUB!

I didn't sleep too much, I am SO freaking excited. I couldn't even keep it from my closest coworker. Really hoping all these little beans are sticky!

Gonna go in for a blood draw, then the RE is supposed to call me with the results. Eeep.

Anyone know how long these blood test results usually take???

Welcome, Hadley... mexilady and lilac... I don't knowwwww, I see BFP's coming your way!! Both of you!!

Boots... I'd be barfing from excitement!! I want to barf and it's not even meeee! Hahaha.

Man! This thread is one big ball of baby dust... I am PUMPED!!!!! Lots of good luck and vibes flying around in here. Love it!!!!

AFM... just came back from my first annual mammogram since my mastectomy last December (on my "good" boob, of course) and all is well! Yipee! The radiologist did suggest an MRI just as a precaution because of my history. Blah. Also, my midwife finally called me back last night. She crankily and pacifyingly (is that even a word?? Lol. You know what I mean!) agreed to CD22 progesterone testing as well as my AMH testing (at the suggestion of my good friend from the fertility clinic) so we shall see how that goes. I'm CD11 right now waiting to O! I also mention my dully achy pains in my ovaries sporadically throughtout my cycle and she recommended a pelvic ultrasound. I really don't think I need that though. Anyone else have any experience with that?

Boots & Andaluza!!!! That's FABULOUS!! I'm so happy for you both  :)  :)  :)
