TTC a Girl......

I am a mum of 2 beautiful boys, ages 6 and 3 and am trying for baby number 3 which I would love to be a girl.

I have done so much research into timing, diet, supplements etc and am particularly drawn to Shettles i.e. 3-5 days before O.  I know the theories inside and out and am using FertilityFriend.com to chart (which is great by the way) - just want success (or otherwise) stories to test the methods.

Please post if you know when you conceived in relation to ovulation and what was the sex of your baby?

Many thanks smile.gif

Well with DD 1 and 2 we were actively TTC. I am not sure which time made them because we would start dtd 2 days before ovulation and stop the day after. We weren't trying for any particular sex, just trying. I know that is a pretty good time frame for a boy but none the less we had girls. The fact that it happened twice makes me kind of feel like you just get what you get. This time we are hoping for a boy so I should ovulate in the next 24 hours and we r dtd now rather than so early. But in my honest opinion I believe it is probably more likely to just be the luck of the draw. Although I have read about many women having success with shettles.

I conceived two girls on the day I ovulated, and one girl a day after.

We conceived our daughter on O day.

Sperm count apparently also has a lot to do with the sex of your baby - low sperm count could result in a girl even close to ovulation i.e. from 2 days before.  Are you doing temp charts - use protection at all other times (try and abstain if poss) and just dtd on the day of ovulation and you should get your boy.

That kinda questions the theory greensad.gif was this the only time you dtd - regular dtd can lower sperm count enough to still get a girl at O - so confusing - maybe hubby is right - it's 50:50 - lol!
