OK, I totally abandoned this group for MONTHS when I went back to work and life got tooooo crazy, but I came back to reading this thread and the sleep thread and have been soaking it up! You ladies are wonderful, and I love hearing about all these 9 month old babies.
Iris comes to work with me and is still nursing steadily (and spitting up infrequently- it was bad at first, but less than once/day now) and is getting into solids. She's been getting mildly constipated so I've been trying to feed her jarred pureed prunes every other day or so. She loves avocados (avocado popsicles were the first thing she truly wanted to eat more and more of), bananas, black beans, meat, and all the delicious fruits of the seasons (plums, melons, peaches, etc). I basically have been taking a few bites of skin off of the fruits and then handing them to her to gnaw on (or big chunks of melon), my mother is horrified and wants me to puree them, but it's working for us.
I am definitely going to try a green smoothie for her... feeling dumb for not thinking of that before- so glad for this group! My son's daycare does green smoothie popsicles so I will try some in the baby popsicle mold for her. Thanks!
