Yayyyy!!  So happy for you - pretty soon you'll be feeling her movements in no time... and all the time!  (I was getting frustrated when I could feel hardly anything at 18wks, even when I saw so much movement on the u/s... now the little guy is bumping away!)

Veritas: Haha! We're in almost the exact same boat! I think my little bubby (well, all of them really) is not a fan of u/s's so she wiggles around all over. All I definitely notice is mannnnnnnnn she has long legs!

Haha, I think mine has big feet!  Which is not unheard of in my family.  My grandmother (paternal), my mother, and all  of my sisters' have large feet (size 9-10) and my dad is a 13 or 14.  I wish the scanner wasn't already packed, we got some cute u/s pictures, unfortunately, they're not showing up that well using my phone to take pictures.

edited to add my 'feet' picture

Yes!  I was really hoping to break it, but I'll blame it on my husband.  All my mom could seem to have were girls, but my dad's family it's all boys - I'm the only girl granddaughter.  My husband has a brother and tons of male cousins, then his brother has 2 boys as well... I guess the deck was stacked against me to begin with!  lol.gif  Everyone keeps asking if we're going to try for *just* one more to be a girl.  Um.... Nope.  I think 4 boys will eat me out of house and home and fly through our grocery budget enough in the teen years, thankyouverymuch!!

I had a house full of boys at first as well... my husband comes from a family of ALL boys. Between us we had 4 boys, then I'm not sure how but he figured out how to put the plumbing on the inside and then we got 3 girls. THREE. I'm still kind of in shock over here that we're having a sweet, sweet girly again. :) (oh... and my girls eat significantly MORE than my boys ever did, lol)

veritas: Okay, of courseeeeeeeeeee those pics made me cry. How adorable. LOVE!

Demeter: Just wondering... in your pic, what kind of baby wearing wrap are you wearing? It's super cute. I just love that pic.

Hi Erica :) That's a Girasol. The colorway is called Amitola... it's the yellow (azarfan) weft. The Amitola has a bunch of different wefts besides the yellow but I LOVED how vibrant the yellow made the colorway. (and thank you!!)

Wow. It's gorgeous, really. Did you make it yourself or buy it somehwere. I'm kindaaaa just venturing myself into babywearing and trying to figure it all out, and I'm somewhat lost (that and cloth diapering. Holy overwhelming, but I wanna do both!). I stumbled upon www.sleepingbabyproductions.net through a friend and I love lots of her goodies!

I've been drooling like crazy over the new rainbow Girasol wraps that are exclusive to PAXbaby, especially this one. I so, so, so wish I could afford one.

ericaf, I totally hear you on the overwhelming options!  I think we're going to borrow a moby and then buy another carrier like an ergo to start with, but that's it.  For cloth diapering, I think there are too many variables, so we're going to use a diaper service for a couple weeks until we can actually try diapers out on the baby, see what our needs are, and move from there.  Maybe this is just putting off the inevitable stress, but I'm ok with that.  :)   My friend put week's worth of diapering services on her registry and it worked out really well. In our area it's only like $20 a week, so people can get a week of that for the new family and then some other goodies.  Just a thought if you're freaking out like I am.

LOL.. .no I didn't make it, it's handwoven though. I really like the link Aimee shared, lots of gorgeous wraps out there. A good woven is definitely a must have for your stash.

Jillian at PAXbaby is also an amazingly cool person and will help with anything you might need. And she has some great videos of various wrapping techniques on her blog. Her voice cracks me up though; it's way more high pitched and tiny than I would have expected. Here's a cute video of her showing how she wears two of her kids (she has 6) simultaneously. It also demonstrates nicely the inner panel on the Beco Butterfly II and why it's probably preferable for some people in some situations over a carrier without the inner panel.

OK, sorry, Due Date Thread, I'm done with the babywearing talk. ROTFLMAO.gif
