28 month old getting 6 year old molars? x-posted in dental

I noticed tonight while brushing DS's teeth that he had two white bumps on either side of his lower jaw behind his two year old molars.  I felt them and they are hard.  He didn't complain when I touched them.  I asked if they hurt and he said no.  Are these really his 6 year old molars?  I know that they might take months to actually break through but I'm kind of freaking out.  Anyone have this with their LO's?  I googled (of course) and came up with "it's ok" to "the only reason this could happen is if he has a genetic metabolic disorder".  Thanks, google!  The other suggestions were that I didn't know how to count teeth and that the 'back' of the molar was erupting 6 months after the 'front'.  I know that I counted correctly and the last molar looks complete.

It might just be a natural formation in the jaw. I'm no dentist but I think those bumps can be there for years before an actual tooth comes through. But to be sure it wouldn't hurt anything to see a dentist and ask.
