trying to conceive

Thread Starter

I have been trying for years to conceive. I just started taking Vitex along with multivitamins. I am hoping to conceive soon, but being the fact that I have PCOS, I am afraid I will not be able to have a little bundle. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Oh missmandi..... sounds like you've been through a lot and I hope you don't have too much longer to go until you conceive and have a healthy pregnancy!  You may want to join in on either the Bitter Sushi Ladies thread in this forum (http://www.mothering.com/community/t/1334779/bitter-sushi-ladies-november-2011), or go to the infertility forum and join in on The Infertility One Thread (http://www.mothering.com/community/t/1337882/december-2011-infertility-one-thread).

You'd be supported by ladies who know EXACTLY what you're going through.  Hugs to you.

missmandy - There are plenty of women out there with PCOS who have babies...If you look where mamaforever suggested you will find women beating PCOS.

PCOS does not mean you will never have a baby...it just means it may be harder, take longer, and (cost more than you thought).  There are lots of things you can do help your PCOS.  Don't give up!

Vitex is a good place to start, but keep in mind PCOS is closely related to insulin resistance.  So anything you can do to get your insulin level down will help.  You may want to look into chronium sp? and D3 too.
