I'm a stinker, I said that on purpose. Yesterday was not my due date but hey, I gotta have fun sometimes.

Oh that's funny! Now I want a manicure! No... a pedicure, then she'll be at a better vantage point demon.gif

So, can I post some random pregnancy thoughts and questions? I know I've mentioned a few of them before, but I'm thinking/wondering about this stuff pretty much all the time now. In no particular order:

Nausea in the last month? Where did that come from? I never threw up in the first trimester, but I have now! Last night I was too sick to lie down, so I sat up on the couch for a couple of hours (jealous of DH, who was sleeping peacefully!).

What does back labor feel like? I'm definitely having some contractions (as opposed to just Braxton Hicks.. I'm dilated to 3 cm). Sometimes my back hurts so bad at night it wakes me up. Could that be back labor "contractions?" Or does back labor just feel like one heck of a backache? (I do know that my lower back pain is partly just because Baby has dropped so much now.)

I'm so curious how labor will compare to other similar pain I have experienced. I've always had horrible pain with my periods, to the point of throwing up and/or passing out. I'm hoping labor isn't quite that bad. Some people have told me that my uterus can't cramp that hard when it's huge and stretched and full of a baby.

I will post a birth story later on the other threa...but, short version is that contractions really picked up by 6am, got to the hospital at 7am, was diliated to 7cm by 7:45am when they first checked me. Started pushing around 9am, switched to hands and knees because baby was posterior and she was born 100% naturally on my hands in knees (and my mom cought her), she was born at 10:11am, weighing 8lbs 10oz and 20 1/2" long with TONS of dark hair...will post pics when I post full birth story. We are both doing really well, I am so happy with the birth - it was everything and more I ever could have wanted...so wonderful. Naomi is nursing well and I am feeling good - just super super tired! My 4yo is crazy about her and my 2yo is terrified of her (and me)....did not encounter that with DS1, so if anyone has tips or ideas on that, please share! I'm hoping it is just the hospital and he will do better once we are home.

Congratulations, LilMomma!  I'm happy you had such a positive experience.  Happy birthday, Naomi!

Wow, wow, wow!  So happy for you and can't wait to see pics!

My 3 y.o. was pretty freaked out when we brought #4 home.  (They did not let kids visit in the hospital due to H1N1.)  It went away pretty fast.  I can understand the freakiness of it all . . .they look and move like aliens, which they pretty much are at first!

I'm hesitant to declare that I am definitely in labor, but I did just take out the celebratory pumpkin cheesecake I've had stashed in the freezer for this baby's birthday.  So, hmmm.  I guess part of me is convinced.  Or maybe I've just really been wanting to eat that cheesecake lately, and this is just some trick my body is playing on me to get me to defrost it :)

I woke at 2AM with uncomfortable contractions and got out of bed around 2:30.  I've been having 5-6 minute contractions since then.  I guess time will tell!  Not very good timing with my 2yo since she'll be up in a few hours.  I was expecting labor to start around bedtime since that's when it began with her.  Looks like she may be in for a morning of indulgent snacks and new videos to watch.

Still pregnant.

Yesterday I went grocery shopping to get out of the house and get moving. I did get lots of contractions while I was out, and when I was home making dinner. But nothing yet, sill. It was a lunar eclipse early this morning... I would REALLY like this baby to be born, like NOW!

Had my baby last night!

Another little guy, Gideon, 6lb 3 oz, born at home in our tub at 10:03 pm. (I was 38+5). Everything went great and the big kids are in love- even DD who thought for sure it was going to be a girl this time.

i have a weird headache im having trouble shaking, it feels like a dehydrated headache but my pee is clear and im drinking lotsa water.  i woke up with it, blah.   other then that i have been starving every few hours, but semi naseous and very particular about what i actually want to eat.  i need to grab tuna fish because i had a tuna melt craving last night at one am, and couldnt do anything about it.  I did an intensive room cleaning yesterday, vaccumed under the bed moved side tables out of the room to be able to sidecar the crib and started packing a few boxes of things mainly books and knickknacks that i can bear not seeing for 2 months.  like my rock collection haha.  im really tired today, cant get moving at all, have had lotsa pelvic pressure and more and more bhctx, so seems like things are moving down!  baby has to stay till the 19th, A) because thats when i get my permanant crowns cemented in, and B) i still have no diapers ROTFLMAO.gif<<<<< obviously pregnant and crazy, laughing at the whole situation~~~~~ dont fret!

Sierra, it's a deal! Tomorrow would be absolutely cool with me.

Rusty, I don't think it's crazy, particularly if your parents are the type who will help a lot. Going to my moms house means only needing to get up out of my chair to use the bathroom, pretty much. If their home feels like HOME, it's worth it. I'd want to know if the bus has seat belts/if you can bring a car seat (as much for extra space as for safety) I'd find out when/if there was going to be a bathroom break during the trip or how I'd go about a diaper change if necessary. You'll probably have an idea of the baby's schedule by them and I'd plan to travel while the baby will most likely sleep.
