I'm moving to Charleston, SC in about 2 weeks and I'll be 34 weeks pregnant. I'm looking for a natural childbirth VBAC friendly Doctor. Also is St. Francis or the Medical University of South Carolina more natural childbirth and VBAC friendly? Little history, I was severely preeclamptic with my first and got an emergency C/S, I was never in labor, and although it was necessary because my body was so sick, I didn't want to do another C/S. With my second I became mildly preeclamptic and my doctor was ok with inducing a VBAC, which I got. Both times, the preeclampsia just happened at the end, very suddenly. I do not have hypertension on a regular basis. I am 5'8", 130lbs pre-pregnancy, non-smoker, eat healthy, I've run 4 marathons. So physically I do not think there's anything I can do to prevent the preeclampsia (just bad genetics, mom had it, grandma had it). If I become preeclamptic, I'm hoping to have a doctor who's willing to induce a VBAC (which most will not do, even the natural childbirth friendly doctors). If I don't, I want a doctor who'll treat me like a regular laboring patient and not be like, "oh high-risk, high-risk!" Since I have been preeclamptic twice and had a previous C/S.Â

I've been looking all over and found the name Dr. Victor Weinstein with Ashley River who delivers at St. Francis. Any thoughts? Thanks.
