Homebirth near Lowell, MA

Hi there,

It's been a little tough for me to research homebirth midwives, as there seems to be a very limited selection for the Merrimack Valley area, specifically near me in Lowell. I've contacted a few who are in Greater Boston and Southern NH, and while they've made it seem like the distance is doable, the immediate feeling I got from them was that it was not the ideal location. I don't mind them being 30-40 mins away and traveling for appointments, but for some reason I've sensed a bit of hesitation. And I've got enough to worry about instead of feeling like I'm burdening my caregiver.

Can anyone recommend a homebirth midwife that I might be missing? Either in Merrimack Valley region or who doesn't MIND traveling? I've looked online at http://massmidwives.org/mapSearch and there's a gaping hole in coverage around where I live.

I'm 3-4 weeks so far and want to get the interview process underway!
