So, has anyone found any fantastic baby books? I hate all the mainstream ones with baby bottles and pacifiers, and "baby slept through the night for the first time on:" or "Baby started holding their bottle on:" or "Our first weekend getaway without the baby was:" and all that BS! I want something sweet and meaningful that has a lot of fill in the blank stuff so I don't have to work too hard but still leaves room for creativity. We have the "Guess How Much I Love You" baby book for my DD, and it's pretty good, but it was purchased before I realized how far outside the mainstream I really am, and has a couple things that just bug me.
I do happen to love The Inappropriate Baby Book
but it's mostly just a silly book, and I'd like something a bit more meaningful, and don't kill me, but if we have a girl, I think she might be a bit offended that we have the sweet book for our first daughter but the gross book for her, where a boy might be more interested in that. Gender biased, I know, but it's based on how my brothers and husband would feel!
