We keep group toys in the playroom and toys for my children (5 and 3.5) to play with seperately in their bedrooms. Â Sure, they play with things in the bedrooms together sometimes, but I've set it up so that it's easy for them to get some alone time when they need it. Â We have large sets of blocks, magnatiles, legos, animals, musical instruments so that both my kids PLUS a few friends can play.
