teeth/brushing

My little guy falls asleep nursing a lot and his first two teeth just came through and so I am worried that this will be detrimental to his teeth. However, at the same time, I'm really not prepared to change it...how do others deal with this?

We brush twice a day and have done since DS was about 4 months old. My dentist told me that brushing twice a day, avoiding "sticky" foods like fruit leathers, not sharing foods (no spit transfer!) and breastfeeding until at least two years old would be best for DS's teeth.

So they didn't see a problem with not brushing directly before bed? I think I will adopt that twice a day habit and hope for the best! I will also talk to the dentist the next time we are there.treehugger.gif

The twice a day brushing implied morning and evening. We brush after breakfast and after bath - which is after dinner but a good hour before sleep.

Hope that helps!
