hi all! we are preparing to welcome a little one to the world at the end of january and need to pick a doc for our baby. I grew up in Indy seeing Dr. Beardsley at Beech Grove Family Medicine (we probably won't go with him for the baby b/c he will very likely retire before she grows up or we finish having kids). DP doesn't have any GP in Indy, so we are basically at square one. We looked into having Dr. Adam Paarlberg at Beech Grove Family Medicine, but was turned off that no one in the practice welcomes new patient interviews, meet and greets, etc.
Anyway, this is what we are looking for in a doc.../any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
We live in fountain square and would be looking for a doc w/in 10 minutes of there, including beech grove, the southside (not south greenwood or center grove), downtown, or near westside
We plan to delay vax (probably using dr. sears' model), co-sleep, attachment parent, breastfeed as long as possible and follow baby-led weaning. also, down the road, if we have a son, we want an intact-friendlyand knowledgeable doc.
